Good morning Nancy.
A couple of months ago I went to see my financial advisor at the bank and filled out all the paperwork to start taking monthly distributions from my retirement account. Finally, after being retired for 10 years. When I got my checking account statement at the end of the month, no distribution. The financial guy isn't in my local branch every day because he covers several different offices so I called him, got his voicemail and left a message. He didn't return my call. The next month, still no distribution. Called, voicemail, message, no return call. Last Thursday I called a third time. Voicemail, message, no return call. I went to the bank yesterday and spoke to the branch manager. He took down all the information, said he'd look into it and get back to me. He called me about 2 hours later and said this month's distribution, which was supposed to be on the 1st, will be made Thursday, they'll make up the 2 months I missed and starting in July I'll be getting my distribution on the 1st of every month like I'm supposed to. I still haven't heard from the financial guy.

When I was at the bank yesterday, I asked the branch manager if the guy was still there and he said he was. I've done all of my banking there since I moved here 6 1/2 years ago and this is the first time I've ever had a problem.Saltx3 wrote: ↑June 18, 2019 11:32 amMaybe he was already fired and they haven't told his customersbig john wrote: ↑June 18, 2019 11:11 amI would SO fire that financial guy.LIPH wrote: ↑June 18, 2019 10:36 am Good morning Nancy.

Re: Tuesday's here @ the MSC
I started taking monthly distributions from my retirement account last month too. I thought I'd be getting a deposit on the 1st of the month and when I didn't I called and found out that it took a few days for the transaction to process and that I wouldn't see the deposit until the first business Friday following the first of the month. The May deposit was made on May 6th, which was the Monday following the first business Friday of the month and the June deposit was made on June 6th, the day before the first business Friday. Both withdrawals were made on the 1st and both deposits were made 5 days later.... who is getting the interest? I don't know how many people are in the Boeing retirement plan (5 years ago it was more than 40,000) but that's a lot of "float"! It seems like it would be almost instantaneous in today's computer-driven world.LIPH wrote: starting in July I'll be getting my distribution on the 1st of every month like I'm supposed to.

I went to American Tap House and had a tasty Cuban sandwich and a couple of frosty adult beverages for lunch. On the way home I saw a car with the license plate JFB 20. JFB = Jimmy F'n Buffett?

Good evening, BN.
(Thanks Linda for the messaging tonight. )
The financial fustercluck for you Larry and Mr. SPH sounds fun.. NOT.
I'm still in prep mode for my surgery Tuesday. Prescriptions to fill, things to pick up, work things to get done. I have one co-worker that works out of our office in CA who said, "Hope your recovery is swift. Who will be your back up"? Gee, thanks for your concern. I have NO back up.
Off to do some more planning for the surgery week ahead. And planning for Mom's 82nd birthday Saturday, and mine and E's 12th anniversary Sunday.

We had success for our first try, need to figure out the best bread to use though. It will be fun experimenting!
