Talk Like a Pirate THURSDAY@ the MSC

Post by bodypainter » September 19, 2019 7:35 am

Good morning BN. It's a great day to celebrate the silliness of escapism we all enjoy at tailgate.

I do a mean Captain Jack Sparrow.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

  I can drink rum, and that's about as close as I get to a pirate.

Have a wonderful Thursday, friends! :D

Good morning. I have the dentist later this morning, then I'm coming home and the big dogs need brushed. Bryan gets half a day off today because the county he works in is having their fair this week and today is "the little brown jug" horse race. We might go out to dinner or maybe not. We are winging it. Have a great day!

When I was in the Coast Guard, my buddies and I would get drunk and talk like pirates. Not all the time, just once in a while. :pirate:

Good afternoon, at least it's afternoon in Dublin. The first thing I did after I checked into the hotel was take a nap. Then I went for a walk. I saw a place called The Beer Market, I had to go in. It claims to be Dublin's first craft beer bar. No TVs, no live music, just beer. I'm having a Galway Bay Bay Ale, it's very good. I'll have to check out the rest of their beer list and have another, I'm not driving. 🍺

Saw your post on the Dublin thread, I'm glad you had enough money and airline points to not be dropped in the middle of the Atlantic.

Getting dropped in the middle of the Atlantic would have sucked big time, I don't know how to swim.

Happy Whatever Day

Imelda finally decided to come see Montgomery County. We are fine, but so much flooding in this area. 😣
I know people *think* they need to go somewhere but is it worth their lives????
I don't get it.
Anyway, we have plenty of food and power---right now, so we are going to sit tight and watch the rescues from our couch.

I'm not really enjoying a Galway Hooker Irish Pale Ale at The Bankers Bar in Dublin. It's very average. It's also in a Galway Hooker Brewery pint glass. I wish I could figure out a way to walk out with it.

I've asked in a few places and except for Beer Haus in Las Vegas they always say no. The pint glasses at Beer Haus have the BH logo and underneath in small print it says "THIS IS NOT A SOUVENIR GLASS." I bought one. I didn't think to ask and I couldn't slip it in my pocket and walk out. I was sitting at the bar right in front of the beer taps so the bartender was always there and the servers kept stopping by to get their drink orders.

This just in: Three Mile Island is closing down permanently tomorrow.
The nuclear power plant near Middletown, PA had a partial meltdown in 1979.
For the first time in many years I won't be seeing the steam cloud rising up from the cooling towers. :pirate:

Thanks Moogy.
They are saying we got 25 to 29 inches of rain in the county. We didn't get that much, but enough.
Guess I have to be careful what I wish for. 😜😘
