Friday Morning and Wishing I was @ the MSC

Post by Bicycle Bill »

Nice thing about a cyber-meet-up place — we are definitely observing 'Social Distancing'!!

Saw a news report yesterday where a doctor said that, to alleviate the boredom of the forced isolation in our homes, we should focus inward and look for inner peace.  One way he said we could achieve this was to check around and find those projects we had started but never finished, for one reason or another.  The satisfaction of finally getting them done would lead to a healthy, strong sense of satisfaction and accomplishment.

So I looked through my house to find those things I'd started and hadn't completed.  I finished off a bottle of merlot, a bottle of chardonnay, a bodle of Baileys, a buttle a wum, tha mainder of Valiumun srciptuns, an a box a chocletz.  Yu haf no idr how fablus I feel rite now!  Sned this to all who need inner peez, an telum u luvum.  And rember two hash yer wands!!

Haff a stafe day avrybobby!!!

Good Morning Bill! Thanks for the tip but I head to the Courthouse this morning for my 2 of 3 necessary work days from March 18 (when the Administrative Court of PA ordered each county to act as they see fit around the criminal justice system while protecting the constitutional rights of all)- April 15.

Hoping my desk doesn't look like it normally does after I've been gone for 6 work days (but then again, what is "normal" right now?)

Good Morning Gang!!
Finishing off the first week of Michigan's "Stay Home Stay Safe" order from the Governor which runs until April 13th.
We closed our doors to the public as of last Monday when the order came down, but are still working as we prepare payroll checks for some of our business clients. These days seems each hour constitutes a day & each day constitutes a week. #lookingforthelightattheendofthetunnel.

Stay safe my phriends!!

Good morning! I am actually dressed (complete with bra and shoes😂😂😂) for the first time since Sunday and I have make up on for the first time since March 16. I have to take the big dog to the vet, I'm pretty sure he has another ear infection. The vet is about 10 miles from me and I'm going there and straight back home.
Happy Friday everyone ❣️

Ha! Bill, that made my morning! Two of my brothers and I are going to "finish off" some stogies later this morning.
And no mercy will be shown to any beers that show up. :pirate:

So.....I'm at work along with about 12 other people who are scattered among 2 secured floors. The courthouse has a "No one from the public is allowed entrance without proof of needing to be here" policy.

In today's mail I received a letter from an inmate at a State Correctional Institution who is serving a life sentence without parole for a homicide conviction. He is "afraid of what is going on with the Covid-19". He would like a 60 day release from prison to spend time with his family before he or one of them die...……..

You can't make up this stuff. :o

Good morning, It's a nice sunny day and the temperature is supposed to be close to 80 degrees this afternoon. I'd like to go take a walk on the boardwalk but I'm not sure that would be a good idea. It's spring, the weather's been nice the last few days (except for a little rain Wednesday), the boardwalk and the beach might be crowded. It isn't hard for me to practice social distancing because I'm unsociable, but if there are a lot of people around I may not be able to avoid them. Maybe I'll go to Total Wine and stock up on beer for the long haul.

What a beautiful day, 78 degrees and low humidity. I went for a walk in the park and it was deserted, I don't think I saw 5 people the whole time I was there.

I didn't have lunch because I was out and I didn't feel like cooking anything for dinner so I went online and ordered some wings to go from Buffalo Wild Wings.

Thought of you when I took the kayak out for the 1st time of the season today. It was sunny & warm when I left work & made the plans to go out. Once I finally got loaded up & arrived at the pond, it was cloudy & breezy. I thought, what would Bill do? He would get on the water & enjoy it - so I did :D
Although I didn't catch anything, I did see an eagle & it was just nice & peaceful to be on the water!

Evening, peeps. TGIF (8) Sunny and low 50s, that's 'early spring' around here. Early spring is the one that arrives before mud season. Real spring is after that. Lots of news about struggling lobstermen so we did our part and hit up the seafood market tonight. Cioppino... [smilie=yum.gif]

Cool! I've been on water 8 times. Today, the big river pool I fish seemed as busy as the bay in Caddyshack when Rodney Dangerfield scattered boats and sunk the sloop. Everyone with a fishing boat was out and getting in my spots. It was a great way to socially distant.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.
