I have a friend that is a nurse at Parkland hospital in Dallas. She got to work and realized she wasn't wearing shoes! Yup. Back home for a pair.

You American types would be horrified at the price of runners over here in the land of Oz. It's one of the few things I miss about my business travel to the US - being able head over to Sawgrass Mills (in Sunrise Florida) to stock up on things like shoes at a reasonable price. Oh and to go to Bass Pro and Cabelas!!! We don't have sports stores anything like the size of them.

We probably could but since the shoe companies like to change their designs on what feels like a weekly basis, it can be hard to be sure if they actually fit.

Plus, you may be surprised to learn that the US, Australia, the UK etc all have different sizing schemes!!!

Yes. I knew that. Was hoping if you knew your sizing in a certain brand, it would be the same in that brand for all designs.

The size is usually OK - the width divisions from model to model seem random - Or it could be my feet are weird!!

Got some errands done and now I'm waiting outside my nail salon until the previous client is done. I had been texting Bryan a bunch of mundane stuff and just discovered that I had been sending the texts to my nail technician. Can't wait to hear what she thinks about my lunch and if I should get a car wash even though it's supposed to rain.

I had my first Oktoberfest beer of the year, Sierra Nevada. It's pretty good. I'm watching the Islanders game now. I'm sure in real time it's the 3rd period already but I DVR'd it so I can fast forward through the commercials. I started watching an hour after it started and halfway through the 2nd period it's 1-0 Islanders.
