Day "whatever" out of "too many" of house guests..........HELP.........I think some are leaving today, and the rest are leaving Wednesday AM.....

I had to make a grocery store run yesterday.......i purposely missed a few items, so that i had to make a return trip. Didn't work, wife went back as she said there was a few added items that i she didn't think i could find...
so basically she wanted out of the house as well ?
 Probably.

That's some long visiting. Isn't there some social rule around this, guests and fish both stink after 3 days or something? :-?
You only have two options - havin' fun or freakin' out...

The sun's shining but there are a lot of dark clouds off to the west. We had a short rain shower this morning but it looks like we're in for some more, I'm glad I went for my daily walk, and a beer run at Total Wine, already.

So, E and I just came in from scraping off the snow and ice for the second time. Fun times.

Well....the drag race was a waste of a day. If I was rooting for someone, they were guaranteed not to be in the finals. Last race of this season is in Las Vegas....maybe I just shouldn't watch????

That's a lot of wine corks. :o
I have quite a few friends and a local winery that save them for me. Yea. That’s my story and I’m sticking with it. [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif]

I like having four seasons. Five if we count the mud season in the spring.

When I lived in NY I didn't mind the cold but as I got older I grew to hate snow. We get our annual 2 or 3 weeks of winter here in South Carolina, temperatures in the high 30s-low 40s. We might get a day or 2 below freezing but I kept a winter coat, my lined leather jacket and a pair of gloves when I moved south. I'm good.

That’s the weather we are holding out for as we get closer to retirement.

Ugly day here in south central PA.

Kevin was brewing today. While he was doing that I grabbed my ginormous (yes that's a word) tub of wine corks and got busy. 16 wine cork flags, 12 wine cork pumpkins and 3 toilet paper pumpkins :).

BUT WAIT - THERES MORE -- before the brewer could begin we had to chase the squirrel out of the garage. He snuck in yesterday when I had the door open and spent the night stuck in a chain we use to hold up a shelf. He was doing a little of squealing and hissing but we couldn't see him so we went to bed. This morning we found him and using grandson Austin's hockey stick I (yes, me - while the 250 lb brewer watched from afar), poked him enough to get him to jump down and scurry away (the squirrel, that is - not the brewer). First time in 37 years of homeownership we've had a squirrel inside any part of our house.

Here's what I was doing after squirrel hunting.

Well I'M IMPRESSED by all of it. :o

Thanks Big John.

:) It's all I've ever known - Illinois and Colorado. Don't love it, but can usually tolerate it.

Since I moved to KW in 1972 I realized I didn't have to do winter.

Although it's been mostly cloudy since I landed, it's much warmer than home!

One cold December evening back in 2001, after finishing shoveling snow, we looked at each other and said we got to get outta here. [smilie=asa.gif]

Took us about a year to get everything lined up and organized and we left Rhode Island for Manatee County Florida. The best decision we ever made. Now, it's great to visit "up north" knowing we don't have to stay.

I feel like I have to laugh at the 'good luck'...
I will. I don't have a 'gotta make it there' by a certain time so I hope/pray I'm good [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif]
