Good morning!
Looks like a few of us need some hugs around here.
I have plenty to go around.
Home today with no errands to run for me.

We have a light dusting of snow here today. Taking it easy this morning, but lots of cleaning to do. Bryan is going to go to the grocery and the pharmacy.

Good morning BN!
I wasn't close enough to hug the deer (15 yards), but I did get a picture.

Nice shot Ron. That's what I miss about Utah. Camping in the mountains with deer and elk.

Hi there! I worked 4 hours to finish putting the holiday displays away. In 17 years of doing this, we never got the entire job in January.
Is wild game back on the menu?
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Afternoon BNers
It's a pretty blue-sky day. I appreciate these days.

Aloha, peeps.
Typical weekend chores around here. All indoors because it has been blustery and pouring rain all day long. Finally letting up so we are going to walk downtown and grab some sushi for dinner.

The only wild game I've had is venison and bison. I didn't care for venison, not that it was bad, I just wouldn't go out of my way to have it again. I really liked bison but it's been a few years since I had it.

I've not had bison but would try it if I had the chance.
I have had venison in several forms (burger, roast, jerky). Guessing it depends on who makes it & how it's made. Some I would try again (jerky & roast) but some would be a hard pass (burger, too gamey).

I have enjoyed. Bison steaks, elk and venison. Elk tastes sweet.

I was never a big fan of venison. I've had deer burgers, deer baloney, and deer jerky and it was always I could
take it or leave it. Nothing special. Until one day a few years ago. A neighbor of my parents invited me and my brother
Frank over to try some. It was a big piece of deer roast that he had marinated and cooked all day. It was sooooo good!
I haven't tasted anything like it since. Best ever.
Who's got the rum?

A deer near farm land tastes better than a woods deer, but neither is a favorite. When I hunted, my deer would be made into burger with beef fat added.
That roast did sound good, John. Both bison and elk are great and surprisingly, moose is delicious.
