Off topic here.....thanks for the fact that Skyhooks was an Australian band. Not that I know their material, but I recall seeing them in concert opening up for Uriah Heep back in '76 I believe. Only takeaway from their performance was the drum solo.........Rabbitz wrote: ↑January 17, 2021 11:31 pmi imagine there are plenty in the US who are currently doom-scrolling.springparrot wrote: ↑January 17, 2021 11:13 pmI keep waiting for something else to happen and hoping nothing does.....Saltx3 wrote: ↑January 17, 2021 10:09 pm Our son is posted where this took place today. I guess it's hard to do but for sanity sake, sometimes it's better to walk away and stop consuming the horror movie that is the modern news cycle.
In 1975, Australian band Skyhooks released this gem - it's about news services deliberately pushing doom and gloom - we'd call it click-bait these days! They we ahead of their time, enjoy:

You're right but it's harder to do when a family member is in the midst of the gloom and doom.Rabbitz wrote: ↑January 17, 2021 11:31 pmi imagine there are plenty in the US who are currently doom-scrolling.springparrot wrote: ↑January 17, 2021 11:13 pmI keep waiting for something else to happen and hoping nothing does.....Saltx3 wrote: ↑January 17, 2021 10:09 pm Our son is posted where this took place today. I don't doubt you for a second. You have to keep your sanity too -
Good grief! What am I saying?
As someone famous once said:
"Stay in touch with my insanity really is the only way
Its a jungle out there kiddies
Have a very fruitful day".
Always be yourself
Unless you can be Batman
Then always be Batman
Unless you can be Batman
Then always be Batman
