I think I would melt even before I get ice cream. And I just heard the firefighters go by. Ugh. Can't imagine what it's like for them being in 90 (heat index of 99) degree weather.

Like a lot of other folks we are staying inside today.

It's too hot to even sit on a chair in the shade. I hate being inside when the sun is shining but when it's hot enough to melt your face off I guess I'll take being inside.

Too hot in the shade? Yuck. No wonder it's quiet and empty outside. There's usually tons of people either walking or driving.

It was really good, weather-wise and making house progress, too. We are back in MA now and it is Hot, Hot, Hot.

Good evening ladies and gentlemen. I didn't even unlock my door today, the heat index was 105. We didn't have a heat advisory but they already issued one for tomorrow afternoon, I guess that means the heat index will be at least 106. I was thinking of going to the Pelicans game tomorrow night, maybe I'll stop thinking of that.

Next Sunday is Christmas Vacation In July Night and the Pelicans will be wearing these jerseys. They're auctioning them off, I'm getting one.
