Remembering Connie Saturday @ the MSC
Today we celebrate the life of Connie. She wouldn't want us to mourn, instead she'd want us to celebrate. Bit's would tell you to grab a straw and blow it's paper wrapper at the first person you see. With a little love and luck, we will get by....

Re: Remembering Connie Saturday @ the MSC
Lulu was kind of my online "mentor" in my early days here at BN. Engaged me in chit-chat, helped me to navigate this place (back then it was a beehive of activity) and advised me on the use of post-it notes as mini "cheat sheets" to figure out who all the lunatics were in this asylum.
I had the pleasure of meeting (not meating) her on several occasions and for that I will be forever grateful. Good times and laughter and a healthy dose of dumbassity. And of course, spitballs. Her smile and laughter will be my forever memory. With a little love and luck .....

Morning BNers
We knew this time was coming for Connie, but I think we were hoping for a miracle.
I think we need to relive our times with her and smile.

Yes, was definitely hoping for that miracle ... right up until the end I was convinced it was going to happen.

So, I'll relive our good times and remember her smile ..... and smile .....

I'm probably too late to catch everyone, but it's good to see a few familiar names.

Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,
But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.
Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;
For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crost the bar.
......Alfred, Lord Tennyson
Sail on, Connie.

Ok kitchens'a open. Since we are honoring Connie today, on the menu is coffee cake, coffee, tiramisu, and because Bonzo insists, banana fosters scrapple. Dig in and party because it's what Connie would have wanted!

Re: Remembering Connie Saturday @ the MSC
good morning, everyone. CJ, that was a wonderful way to open the MSC.
I am one of those people that never met Connie in person, but I so enjoyed all our chats about wonderful things like the the sun coming up in the morning, birds, and how sand feels on our feet. I got to know her through FB although I adored her here. I loved her pictures and never ending love of her grand baby and her family.
Love and luck sent to her family for peace and understanding.

Hello BN !!
It's the weekend and the sun is shining here in PA.
A lot of us are mourning the loss of our dear BN friend Connie/Conolulu and are remembering lifes moments with her - whether in person or in "cyberspace". But we can also be reminded that life here is just a blip of time -- so make the most of it !!
