Good morning.

Tilted Kilt has a contest for the NCAA Basketball Tournament and of course I entered, even though I didn't watch any college basketball games from start to finish all season. The first round was Thursday and yesterday, 16 games each day, 1 point for each correct pick. I was 14-2 Thursday but only 9-7 yesterday. You only need 1 point to get to the first prize level, a free order of garlic fries. Done. I'll go there for lunch a day next week and collect. The second round is today and tomorrow, 8 games each day, 2 points for each correct pick. The next prize level is 50 points, if I go 14-2 the next 2 days I'll have 51. Not very likely.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

Afternoon BN. I need to shake off the chicken cutlets, garlic mashed potato, peas with bacon, and Klondike bar I ate last night. A 2 mile walk afterwards doesn't cut it. heh.

Classic Oz Pub Rock.

After re-watching that , even day 23 of this "rain event" can't get me down.

Brings to mind our first trip 'down under' in 1989... Not knowing any better, we stayed at the Hyatt Regency in King's Cross. Right across the street on the backside of the Hyatt was the Oz Rock Café. Our room looked out and down on it Evidently there was no curfew back in those days and the pounding/thundering noise lasted into the wee hours of the morning.

Evidently the King's Cross area was the Red Light district back in those days. The hotel staff assured us that the neighborhood (neighbourhood?) was fine, but that we probably didn't want to go out after 10pm or so...

Yo
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Life is short, live long!!

I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

The Cross is now a mere shadow of its former glory. A bible basher state premier and his sky fairy worshipping mates have legislated to stop any fun in the state of New South Wales. They've forced many venues to close and thrown thousands out of work, just so their property developer mates can slip in and redevelop these areas.

I walk through the Cross many time a week on my way to and from work. It is a desolate, yuppified, hipster hell-hole these days.
