Top Ten Tour List

Entertainment Weekly lists the top ten recent tour concerts, and Jimmy Buffett's concert at Tampa came in fourth behind Celine Dion's concert in Las Vegas and two diferent Beyonce/Alicia Keys/Missy Elliot concerts in Oakland, CA and Anaheim, CA respectively. The total gross for the four concerts were $2,811,213 (Celine Dion), $1,644,858 (Beyonce et al), $1,616,943 (Beyonce et al), and Jimmy's Tampa show with $1,171,816.

Way to go Jimmy! Although, it pains me greatly to see the wretched Celine Dion at the top of the list. Anyone who knows me or visits my web site knows I'm not a big fan of hers (remember that Blender 50 worst songs - she would have occupied all 50 slots if it were up to me). Okay, I'm finished ranting now.

First of all, Celene's gross was for 5 shows last week (out of 600 shows during a 3 year stay at Caesars Palace, same stage, props, etc.)

The 2 Beyonce cities were for 2 shows each

Jimmy's gross was for one show. His gross was #1 ranked in per show gross.

But who cares anyway, its not the money but the music and the crowd and the parties. However, if the money keeps him writing, I say go for it.

True, very true. His is gross for only one show...and hers is total for five shows. I didn't even think about that. Well, that's even better than I thought. WOO-HOOO!

it ranked #1 in black hole of money tour
it ranked #2 in most fun tour (only Jimmy beat ya)
it ranked #2 in most wanted return tour ( Jimmy beat ya again )
and in the ranking of ranking it ranked #1 in the rankingest tour
