Way to go Jimmy!!! :D :D :D

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

Another great pic posted by a fellow PH who was there (you'll have to click; flickr won't play nice):

Thank you Jimmy! During a visit to the UAE, Jimmy and Mac McAnally
stopped by the sandbox to perform a 2 hour set of my favorite songs and
even tossed in a few good jokes. Even the ever popular "Why Don't We
Get Drunk", which isn't supposed to be played live since 2007, made the
list and Mac sang Alan Jackson's part of "Five O'clock Somewhere". It
would have been nice to have a margarita with Karen and my friends while
watching them perform! Wish you could have been here :) LOL

The Sandbox is a liberty facility, so sounds like Jimmy and Mac played they show on land right next to where the carrier was berthed.

All of my myspace soldiers refer to being anywhere in Iraq as being in the sandbox.

That's true, but in the port where Truman was pierside, there's a liberty facility named "The Sandbox" which is where Jimmy and Mac played the gig.

That's wicked cool. Jimmy and Mac must be having a blast traveling around together playing for the troops [smilie=superkewl.gif]

My son is on the Truman and said it was great. He watched him from the flight deck, which he said was the best seat in the house as he was overlooking everthing and pretty much on top of it--Jimmy did a meet and greet--My son was pretty stoked--

Thanks--Jimmy--

And I thank him as well!

Thank you Jimmy for being the coolest guy ever. I know I sound like a teenie bopper saying that, but I can't think of a better way to express it. So many 'stars' are so selfish, and you're not. These guys and gals in the military go through so much....for you to support them is fabulous. Love it. Love ya. :D :D

Try sending the picture to Margaritaville, in Key West. Include a letter explaining the circumstances and include a stamped, self-addressed envelope for return. I bet you get it back signed.
