David Crosby makes mention of how recognizable he is and how 'stealthy' Jimmy is in a post on Spinner.com:

To prove his point, Crosby describes an incident involving him and another famous musician. "Jimmy Buffett's a much bigger star than I am, right?" he says. "I mean, much bigger. I was having lunch with him recently and none of them saw him. He's sitting right across the table from me. There's just the two of us there, man, and they didn't even see him." While some stars hate when they go unnoticed, Buffett was unfazed. "He thought it was funny as s---. I said 'You are such a smart guy, man, not to grow your hair or be identifiable.' He said, 'I'm stealth, Cros.'"

Re: David Crosby Mentions Lunch with the 'Invisible' Mr Buffett
Hmmmmm, perhaps this lunch incident was completely in David Crosby's head, and thus that would explain why no one else saw the "invisible Mr. Buffett" across from him at the table. That evening he probably had dinner with an invisible pink giraffe.
David Crosby definitely "enjoyed" the 1960s. It's those flashbacks they all warned us would come.
