Quick question: how do I edit the "lenghth" in the file details? I downloaded the file and it doesn't show any values in profile/details. The other shows I have downloaded in the past have these.

I'm trying to stream it to my DirecTv genie and a TS file must have a value in the details/"length" to work.

You would need video editing software or perhaps converting the TS file to another file format might work

It needs to be in TS format to work on DTV media share. And I have no idea how to edit file properties.

I'll just convert it to .mp4 and stream it with iTunes.

I had the same issue with Key West a while back, and I used VLC to convert it from a TS to a TS, but I have no idea how I once did that. VLC is such an awful program to use if you don't know what you are doing.

I'll work on a less intensive way for you to get in as MP4. I have a way for it to work, but I just need to test it.

No worries! I actually prefer it as a TS file. I just need all the details in the file code (like length) to stream from my PC to DTV Genie.

I use Handbrake to convert to MP4, and then load into iTunes. Handbrake is a piece of cake to use. (I just used VLC that one time.)

With Handbrake you can covert DVDs to MP4. You just have to download the .dll file that overcomes the copyright. After all, if you own it, why can't you use it in any format you choose?

Thanks for all you do!

"After all, if you own it, why can't you use it in any format you choose?" That's actually quite common and I do use .ts for the ease of it and that's the native youtube streaming container format. I try to use the most supported and universal container type known and .TS and it's varients are widely known, and if I wanted really wanted to, I could make the file playback only on certain hardware, but I don't do that.

As you said " After all, if you own it, why can't you use it in any format you choose?" I feel that way with technology as one, if you own it, why can't you do what ever you choose with it. Believe it or not, we are in a environment now where companies are trying to get it to that it's harder for you to take your computer or phone to an independent repair shop when you fully own because we get the parts though other means. This is called "right to repair" and the it actually was killed in New York State due to the big tech companies. What might not come as a shocker here, I am very knowledgeable about technology and I do repair it (Sunlover can vouch for my expertise). Because I support the right to repair and I do independent repair. I can be seen from a companies view as an anarchist, which kinda fits me. So, they will try to control us anywhich way they can, and I not for it, I will keep reparing, because I can tell you that Apple can charge you over $700 dollars for a 2 dollar part. (Heh, that last sentence reminds me of the lyric: "Just cause (hey, hey, hey), just cause, because we're outlaws yeah!" from Holiday by Green Day.

A random sidenote to when I am on here only at very random times and a night/morning of a show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8dh9gDzmz8
