Caribbean Soul Man wrote:Mount Gay Barbados Sugar Cane Rum, also hardly an "off brand" is a great sippin' rum. Recently was in Margaritaville, Myrtle Beach and was disappointed by the rum selection. I think it was basically Bacardi, Myers Dark, Bacardi, Capt. Morgan and of course Bacardi. :-? The Capt. is good but the only thing I like to mix my rum with is a little ice 8)
I have to agree with you. Most places do seem to have only Bacardi, Meyers and Capt. Morgan. Very disappointing. Like you said, a good rum on the rocks is a wonderful thing to behold. ;)

Favorite rum, under $40 Pyrat XO, Favorite rum when money's no object, Cask 23. I also like the Appleton Estate rums, VX and Extra. Recently, at the suggestion of a lady whose family use to own a sugar cane plantation in Cuba, I tried a rum which was very good. I'll check when I get home and see what the name was.

True but maybe he could form a partnership of sorts with Mt Gay. Remember his "Ringling" endorsement in the liner notes of YHTBT :)
actually, I just have the CD, so I've never seen the original liner notes or artwork... :D

Every so many years... I order Bundy. When I can't jet down to Australia to drink my rum, I drink it at home. :pirate:

Ron Brugal, amber or the reserve. Mix with Berry Citrus Five Alive.

Can't get enough.
Dumb and drunk as I was, you know I would do it all again.
