I have to agree with you. Most places do seem to have only Bacardi, Meyers and Capt. Morgan. Very disappointing. Like you said, a good rum on the rocks is a wonderful thing to behold. ;)

Favorite rum, under $40 Pyrat XO, Favorite rum when money's no object, Cask 23. I also like the Appleton Estate rums, VX and Extra. Recently, at the suggestion of a lady whose family use to own a sugar cane plantation in Cuba, I tried a rum which was very good. I'll check when I get home and see what the name was.

True but maybe he could form a partnership of sorts with Mt Gay. Remember his "Ringling" endorsement in the liner notes of YHTBT :)
actually, I just have the CD, so I've never seen the original liner notes or artwork... :D
