Bin Laden believed dead: report
A newspaper has quoted an unconfirmed French secret service report as saying Saudi Arabia is convinced Al Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden died of typhoid in Pakistan last month.

The French regional newspaper, L'Est Republicain, has printed what it says is a copy of the report, dated September 21.

It says the report was shown to French President Jacques Chirac, Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin and France's Interior and Defence Ministers on the same day.

"According to a usually reliable source, the Saudi services are now convinced that Osama Bin Laden is dead," the document said.

I'd rather see his dead body on a slab, but I hope this is true. One less evil person in the world.

I haven't seen news reports on this yet today, but weren't there some videos of Osama that were supposedly made a bit later than August 23rd? (And then shown around the Sept. 11th date?)

If typhoid has truly done him in, how ironic would that be?

And the timing of the release is interesting given George is hanging out with the leaders of Afghanistan and Pakistan this weekend....

Yup...just checked CNN.com. Apparently the last Osama video was 2004 and the last audio from him was June 30th, so the date could indeed make sense.

He would have been buried within 24 hours due to their religious beliefs ... so maybe this is one of those "we will never know" .....

Just checked abcnews.go.com and they state that the US is skeptical of the reports and that France has started an inquiry into the reports.

Unfortunately, there is another ratical freak laying in wait to take his place.

I can't remember and I don't feel like researching right now - Did they ever find Hitler's body?

It will be a shame if they never find the body since you will have all sorts of individuals claiming to be him and stirring up trouble for years to come.

Even if he is dead, we're not gonna know about it unless we find him (which for all intesive purposes he could be buried or cremated). Other al-Qaeda leaders aren't gonna come right out and tell the world he's dead because they want to cast a shadow of doubt on us and make us believe he is still alive.

Even if he was dead, I don't think Al Qeida will announce that any time soon.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
