Ya know...she's a b**tch. I've known people (okay, my mom-in-law) who are so judgemental without really knowing the whole story and still feel it's okay to comment on strangers.

But.. I'll tell you from this girl who is trying to lose the weight after 4 surgeries...it sucks being heavy but it sucks even worse when the rest of the world feels it's okay to comment on your weakness. Just because their weaknesses don't show doesn't mean they don't exist.

Hell...F&%# em if they can't take a joke...

Live a lie and you'll live to regret it ...that's what livin is to me.
With a little love and luck, we'll take the sky!

There are those people in the world that feel that they need to "help" other people, but they can't bring it upon themselves to look at their OWN problems.

So no, you had every right to "tell her off" but just don't think that this is going to change her attitude at all. She very likely put her foot in her mouth at least one more time that day after confronting you.

Thanks all, sometimes I can take a retort too far..
I have heard her make some snide comments
prior (a couple towards me) but none to me
and since she was talking to her "friends" I just let those go..

   That's funny. And I bet she spent the rest of the afternoon bitchin' about you--"Who is he to make a comment like that?"--while being too ignorant to realize the stupidity that came out of her mouth to begin with.
Take me for what I am, a star newly emerging.
I accept the new found man, and I set the twilight reeling.

Not at all. You were alot kinder than I would have been.
"Oh yeah, lady, well EAT THIS!" comes to mind. I'm rarely able to
keep a clever comeback in. Years ago I went out with this gal who,
the more she drank, the more what she had earlier told me was
contradicted (i.e. she wasn't divorced - she was still married, she wasn't
29 - she was thirty, her husband wasn't hurt in a accident - she stabbed
him. I didn't need that drama so I never called her for a second date.
Months later her and her girlfriend run into me at a bar. She goes into this
"I haven't heard from you. I've been having real bad luck with men.
I can count how many orgasms I've had on one hand."
I told her to try the other hand. Never saw her again. :pirate:
