American Idol 2009
With a few changes..
http://tv.yahoo.com/blog/when-idol-becomes-idle--77
I admit, I didn't watch this show the first 2 years, but I do enjoy it now. Yes, I know, it's a mindless indulgence. No comments, Larry.
Will you watch this year?

I'm with Larry, I'd rather listen to fingernails on a blackboard than an hour of AI

It's a good show to watch while walking on the treadmill. It doesn't take much focus. Even better if it's in Tivo and you can skip a bunch of it.

Re: American Idol 2009
I don't watch it unless I'm in the office at work and SOMEONE ELSE happens to have it on.
For all the Carrie Underwood's that appear on that show, there's about 1000 talentless twits that have no business leaving their driveway, let alone showing how talentless they are by appearing on a national TV show.
BUT, Paula Abdul is nice to look at, and I LOVE listening to Simon Cowell.

Re: American Idol 2009
My wife will be disappointed to hear that there will be less train wrecks. That was her favorite part of the show.
I'm glad to see the results show cut to a half hour. Now I'll only have to fast-forward through 25 minutes instead of 55.
We never really watched Idol until last season. We always had other stuff to watch on TV, but last season, there wasn't much opposite Idol to make us change the channel.

There's always something better on another channel besides AI.SharkOnLand wrote:We always had other stuff to watch on TV, but last season, there wasn't much opposite Idol to make us change the channel.

I thoroughly enjoy the auditions shows for the next few weeks.

I like the Mentalist. We started watching AI last year because the wife likes the train wrecks. Then we kinda had to finish what we started.

Sure......I could use a laugh......
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

Re: American Idol 2009
I gave up after season 6, it just blows that they dont let the real talent in.....but whateves.....
i auditioned twice....for season 1, and for season 4......
someone needs to end their contract early....the show doesn't attract any viewers anymore, and they stooped so low to get a new judge this year....SELL OUT.
ok, im done ranting....hehe

It's just coming on here, so I'm going to the kitchen to bake some monkey bread.
