If you don't come to the Dallas shows, you might not have had the chance to meet Vicki (Vickster). She's the sweetest person ... always offering to help with the care and feeding of our group. Having been a caterer for many years, the girl knows how to feed the masses. This year, she had a little scooter and she was everywhere! Mr. Play sings her praises every year, with good reason.
She's got some serious health issues that center around her heart.
Here's a portion of an e-mail update she sent out this afternoon. She gave me permission to start a thread.

Hi everyone,
Many of you have been asking about my tests that I had done. So here's an update.
The stress test last week did not go well and my number was a 10. Anything a 14 or below is considered bad.
This morning I had my right heart cath ... my fluids are under control, which is good, however they do think my heart is so weak that we need to start moving toward the "transplant" process.
The doctor said he would have someone call me next week with some information on how the process works. I know you have to meet with every doctor known to mankind and then have some additional tests and then they confer to see if you could be put on the transplant list.
I would still be in the last category because I have O Negative blood.
They have mentioned twice that there are lots of options, however they haven't told me what those options are. ... I have no idea if they are options that can be done while you are waiting for a transplant or whether there are no options except a transplant.
I know they can install a VAD pump, which they say can last up to 5 years while you are awaiting a transplant. Most people that have this pump say they have a pretty normal lifestyle.
It is a serious surgery. This is also the pump where you have to change the batteries every 4 or 5 hours - you wear the battery pack around your waist, but most videos I looked at said people were doing things in their life they could not do before the pump was installed.
That's it for now. I would appreciate your continued prayers.
Hugs,
Please hold Vicki in your prayers ... we all know the difference positive phin power can make when one of our own is need ...
We love ya, Vicki! ((((Vicki))))
I'll start the chain by reaching out from the piney woods of Northeast Texas ... who's going to take my hand?
