Robert Mitchum died on July 1, 1997 and Jimmy Stewart died on July 2, 1997. I thought they died on the same day, but apparently they died a day apart. I remember because it was similar in that the newspapers said that Mitchum was such a wonderful talent, but his death was overshadowed by Jimmy Stewart's.

Farrah Fawcett passed away and went to Heaven. While entering, she encountered God who told her she had lived a good life and would be rewarded. He asked her for her one wish. Her reply was that she wanted all of the worlds children to be safe and happy. Next thing she knew, Michael Jackson was at the pearly gates.

that is funny. I posted a good joke MJ in the jokes section twice, but it keeps getting deleted....

Due to the fact that Michael Jackson is 99% plastic, he will be melted down into Lego blocks, so little kids can play with HIM for a change.

As far as I know, no other celebrity died the day W.C. Fields did (12/25/1946), but isn't it ironic that, on that same exact day, some guy named Jimmy, who later became a singer & songwriter (and author) was born in Mississippi?

AND, as Jimmy said in the liner notes of his "Christmas Island" C.D., it's undeniable proof that God DOES have a sense of humor.

Sony Bono and one of the Kennedys skied into trees within five days of each other. Does that count?
