Winter Classic Jan 2, 2012

Post by MammaBear »

The 2012 Winter Classic is being held in Philadelphia this year with the Flyers playing the Rangers on January 2, 2012 at Citizens Bank Park.

My understanding is that enough tickets will be allotted for Flyers season ticket holders...problem is I am not a season ticket holder.

But...if you are and do not want to sit outside in the freezing Phila winter and therefore don't want your tickets, I know a hubby and keet and their Mammabear who would love to buy them from you and save you from such a frost bitten fate! [smilie=battingeyes.gif] [smilie=battingeyes.gif]

Looking for 2 to 4 tickets if anyone has access.

Thanks!!!

Sadly, the Flyers already had a Winter Classic, I'd love to see a few more teams participate (but I know it's mainly about the popularity :( )

I believe they are going to try to keep it with at least ONE Original 6 team in it every year.
Did you hear the one about me being a punk?
Did you hear the one about me being a drunk?
Did you hear the one about me losing my nerve?
Or how I'm just another f**** sheep in the herd?
Did you hear the one about me giving a s***?
Cause if I ever did I don't remember it.

4 of us are heading down from NY. We've got hotel reservations across the street at the Holiday Inn if anyone wants to join us for a cocktail or two the night before.

Personally, I don't think that they should do that. But it is about popularity, as well as geography.

I don't care who plays the classic, I just love watching the game. It's even better when a little snow falls.

So if I understand this correctly........there's a hockey game played outside (hopefully in the snow) and people sit out in the freezing cold for several hours to watch it................

It's a celebration of how we all learned to play. Personally, I'd like to see a Canadian team in each year.

Wonder when they're gonna do one in the sunbelt-they actually had an exhibition in Las Vegas during the 90's...

It was my understanding that they had the Heritage Classic for the Canadian teams. I thought I read though that they might do away with that.

The ticket prices are outrageous.... In Pittsburgh last year, they gave all sports season ticket holders a chance. Then the public.

Peanut heaven seats were still like 125 each.... would need a telescope to see the teams
