.....I will not be sending out ANY Christmas cards this year! (first time in 30+ years) Christmas is NEXT weekend and apparently I didn't get the memo I just don't know where the time has gone, and I'm feeling a bit guilty about it. I'm so royally f'd right now. Don't even know what to get hubby. No tree yet. Still trying to paint the upstairs of my house right now before everyone comes over on Sunday.

Haven't been sending any for several years now. It's quite liberating actually.
You only have two options - havin' fun or freakin' out...
Mine went out yesterday. It didn't take me nearly as long as I thought it would. It was just getting to it that was killing me....that and a trip to the dreaded post office.
All done though! I feel great and I'm enjoying all the BN cards that have arrived in my mail this year.
I have often said that I was going to try to send out my "christmas" cards in the middle of the summer or another time so that they were actually a surprise and probably much more appreciated. Of course, I never get around to it so I rush the weekend after Turkey Day to do them. If I wait longer than that, they don't go out

I love to send them out. I sent people some that weren't expecting them, and I got nice messages of thanks for remembering them. That makes my heart happy.

There was one fellow that I worked with years ago that I haven't seen in years and I was wondering this year whether to send him a card this year. I decided to go ahead and send him one and I was very glad I did. I got his card the same day I mailed mine....and he had written a personal note and sent a picture of the new puppy he and his wife had gotten.
It always makes me smile when there is something more than a signature in the card.
Giftwise this year we're just focusing on our son, nephews, nieces and our parents.
Everyone else gets a card "if" I run into them.
I've got some pre-signed cards ready for anyone who hits us with a gift.
