This may help you keep track of what's happening in Key West to some extent:ParrotheadGator wrote:I'm going to be really p*** if another hurricane heads towards the Keys in 2 weeks (or if Dennis does any damage). Although the citizens of KW never really leave...
Authorities issued a mandatory evacuation for everyone south of the Seven Mile Bridge at 4 p.m. Thursday. All mobile home residents in the Keys were also ordered to leave. Lines began forming at gas stations and hardware and grocery stores, as people rushed for last-minute supplies. Some people felt they barely had time to get ready for the storm.
"I'm not prepared for this," said Jan Henry, who lives on a sailboat off Key West. "It's just too early for this. I'm used to preparing my boat in August. None of us is prepared for this."

Yep. Yep. Get yourself a boat ( and a fishing license ) and go catch yourself some dinner. Best Keys fishing is in Islamarada. Such a cool place to. Great area for snorkling.tully mars wrote:Stay in Islamarada, and stay out of KW...its over rated. It was great in the late 70's and early 80's...to many tourist dees dayzzz
If I could only do ONE thing though and it had to be in Key West I would spend it lounging aroud the Nassau House with DKD .

wow. The vacation would be a lot cheaper, and over a lot quicker...Ilph wrote:Thanks for the tips folks. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be able to use them. The couple my girlfriend and I were going with are deciding to get a divorce instead of go on vacation. Go figure.
