Hey guys, planning an anniversary trip for April to NOLA. I've done quite a bit of searching/researching & have decided (I think) on Hotel St Marie. I like the closeness to Bourbon St, balcony room, the pool & the price. Wondering if anyone on here has ever stayed at that hotel or has heard any stories (good or bad).
I'm also open to other suggestions that meet the above criteria.
Thanks!

Re: NOLA hotel
Have stayed there twice. Granted it's been 5 years since last visit, but IMO you CAN'T beat the price for the location you get. Nothing negative to say about the facility. Charming facility, a bit aged maybe although I don't know if they've done updates since my last visit. Of course you're in Nawlins' so aged goes with the theme of the city.
One time with a room with balcony overlooking Toulouse St., once with a room overlooking courtyard/pool area. Each had their own charm.
If you've any concerns about the noise from Bourbon Street bothering you if you turn in early I would say don't. Noticed NO such thing.
ENJOY!!

Can't believe the flight is going to be as much (or more) than the hotel
Oh well, only live once & can't take it with me
