Margaritaville Tequila is also incorrectly labelled as being Jimmy Buffett. :pirate:

He did uncle johns band. even saw him do it live w/ Bill Kruetzmann on drums at GW. And whoever posted "on the road again" last year--that's kind of eerie.

I think the song is so closely identified with Willie, it would be hard for anybody to cover, but a Buffettized version might be interesting.

Good call, Chippewa!

Maybe he read your post and you were actually the one to give Jimmy the idea to do "On the Road Again" this year on the tour. Or maybe it's just a coincidence...either way, it's pretty cool.

I'm still pulling for Cabo Wabo by Van Halen.

The song which started Sammy Hagar ojn his path South of the Border.

I also think Jimmy could do a decent job on Pancho and Lefty.

Give me more of the Tin Pan Alley/WW II sound...

I suspect Glory of Love would be amazing!

(the William J Hill version from 1936 -- yikes not the one from Peter Cetera)

Songs I think Jimmy would sound good doing...
"Lawyers, Guns and Money" by Warren Zevon....Just sounds like a song Jimmy would do.

"Against the Wind" by Bob Seeger ( with Nadirah doing the backup....wow, I can only imagine)

Some Jackson Browne...like Runnin On Empty, Tender Is the Night, or one that sounds like it's written for Jimmy "Jamaica Say You Will"

"Take it Easy" by the Eagles ( or "Peaceful,Easy Feeling")

I have to agree with whoever posted that Jimmy has enough of his own material and should give us his own music. If he wants to do covers....plan on doing one or two a night, and change it out every couple of shows. This year he's added Redemption Song and On The Road Again, and seems to be doing them regularly in addition to the covers he's Buffettized over the years ( Southern Cross, Brown Eyed Girl and Scarlett Begonias). I'd rather he mixed it up more, and gave us more of his old favorites.
Just my 2 cents

Jimmy has done Lawyers Gun & Money. At least during the 2005 show in Aspen. That show was only Mac, Peter Mayer, Jim Mayer, Mike Utley, and Roger Guth. And at least IMHO was very good. 8)

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar
