Put on A1A right now , I feel like I'm in the middle of a divorce again. "A PIRATE LOOKS AT FORTY " is the only song thats going to get me through this topic.

How about "She's Got You". It's a catchy tune, but the words are obviously about losing a significant other to someone else...very sad.

Two of my all-time favorite tunes are also two of the saddest...
Island- it makes me want to cry everytime I hear it (especially in the winter)
Trying To Reason With Hurricane Season- this one makes me just sit there and sigh...

ust listened to "Souvenirs"... while it may not be at the very top of the "sad" list... but it is certainly should be included in the top ten.
These songs that I am posting some are meant to be sad and others are sentimental to me.
False Echos
Come Monday
Lone Palm
Love in the Library
Floridays-very sentimental to me about not living a life mediocrity.
Banana Republic
Pacing the Cage-great song, can't believe no one has said this seeming what it is about.
Captain and the Kid
If the Phone Doesn't Ring
Come Monday-I am having to let someone go because I care about them so much.
Cowboy in the Jungle-again, much like Floridays for me.
Well there is my list, I am sure I have missed a few, but it is a good start.
FROM MY POINT OF VIEW IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER:
1.NOBODY SPEAKS TO THE CPT. NO MORE
2.FALSE ECHOES*
3.PACING THE CAGE
4.DEATH OF AN UNPOPULAR POET
5.SENDING THE OLD MAN HOME
6.WONDER WHY WE EVER GO HOME
7.SHES GOING OUT OF MY MIND
8.REMITTANCE MAN
9.CAPTAIN AND THE KID
10.ISLAND
I am a 16 yr old PH and would love to talk to fellow PH my age and even older. Email me at TRAVELNBAR@AOL.COM.
He went to paris, death of an unpopular poet, incommunicado, if the phone doesn't ring it's me, survive, false echoes, ballad of spider john, the captain and the kid, remittance man......nuff said.
I'd have to say that three songs come right to my mind when I think about this one..
1. Distantly in Love
2. "Survive"
3. "Pirate looks at 40"(this one makes me think of someone that used to always bring "Sunshine" into my rainy days)
