What about 'upbeat' songs that you just DON'T like which makes them downers? Such as "Elvis Imitator"?

For me, all buffett songs are happy songs, but the ultimate great mood song is "Love and Luck"

boat drinks

Post by Catch&Release » January 11, 2006 5:29 pm

About this time, here on the shores of Lake Michigan, in the land of hockey, I frequently have to play Boat Drinks as a sort of morning ritual...We've been really lucky as it's been over a monthg since it's been colder than 20 degrees...BUT...few things are worse than leaving the house before the sun is up when it's 5 degrees and there's a foot of snow on the ground....

So, listening to Boat Drinks, and singing "I gotta go where it's warm" as a mantra to ward off the evil winter spirits as I drive into work is one way to try and be happy while freezing!

Oh I know, (I know)
I should be leaving this climate
I got a verse but can’t rhyme it
I gotta go where it’s warm

Boat drinks
Waitress I need two more boat drinks
Then I’m headin’ south ’fore my dream shrinks

I gotta go where it’s warm (I gotta go where it’s warm)
I gotta go where it’s warm (I gotta go where it’s warm)
I gotta go where it’s warm!

I gotta go where there ain’t any snow
Where there ain’t any blow
’cause my fin sinks so low
I gotta go where it’s warm
I don't want to live on that kind of island
No, I don't want to swim in a roped off sea.
Too much for me, too much for me
I've got to be where the wind and the water are free.
