According to this there is still something. I certainly do not read nearly as much about the gathering and goings on as I saw in the past for the Vegas shows....

last time I looked you could still find singles on the site. Maybe two in the same area........
We have gone to 5 of the Flamingo Pool parties, and have enjoyed them all. Everyone looks to be having a good time, lots of costumes and live music. Its always packed. Weather is suppose to be around 80 degrees, which is typical. Not worth spending the money on a day bed unless there is a few chipping in.phi_sig23 wrote: ↑October 9, 2018 12:05 pm Is the pool party worth attending? More importantly, is it worth renting a day bed? $600
"Daybeds are $600 inclusive of tax and service charge and include ten $10 vouchers to use for food or drinks at pool party. This event is 21 years and over and must present valid ID when checking in."
I went to my first Vegas Buffett show 18 years ago. It's a matter of personal preference but I thought the Street Party they used to have in the alley between the Flamingo and the Imperial Palace was better than the Flamingo pool party. The Imperial Palace was pretty much gutted and rebuilt from the inside out and is now the Linq and the alley was developed with lots of shops, bars and restaurants and is now called the Linq Promenade. I still like going to Vegas and you can have a great time there, but you don't have a real tailgate experience. The pool party is a good time but the food and drinks are overpriced, $9 for a Blandshark, and it's usually pretty crowded. I don't know how it was this year because I stayed at the south end of the Strip instead of the Flamingo and I didn't want to make the trek to the pool party.Dr.Corona wrote: ↑October 22, 2018 10:10 am Would like to get some feedback from those who attended this year. Have never attended Vegas but considering next year if it comes about.
Of course the "veteran" parrotheads who attended back in the day state that the fun & festivities aren't what they used to be.....but having said that, while Vegas is a different animal than the typical tailgating, would the fun level be enough to consider it a destination that should be included on the Parrothead bucketlist?
We never received ours either. They did end up handing them out I found out after the fact. I asked at the Margaritaville Store what happened and was told there was a glitch which caused a lot of people not to receive them. I asked how so many people still ended up getting the early admission pool party passes. They said you just had to prove you were a member of the Fins Up Club. They told me if I would have phoned to complain about not getting one, they would have provided me with that information.
Ha! You must have been right behind us, because those two guys were directly in front of us. My wife is 5'1" on a good day, so she was NOT pleased. Of course, this was the first time we actually had floor seats, which made it even worse. The only good part was that they kept leaving for 20 minutes at a time.ComoxParrothead wrote: ↑October 26, 2018 2:39 am I have done the Vegas concert many times and this was the first time I was truly disappointed. I knew I had bad seats (halfway back in Section F on the floor) but that's the best I could do. It wasn't JB that disappointed me, it was the fans. The drunk old man behind me spilled beer on us, not once but twice. We were sticky and stinky the whole concert because of it. The couple to my left argued the entire concert and continually yelled at each other. In fact she was threatening to throw her drink in his face while calling him horrible names. And 2 rows directly in front of us, 2 drunk guys about 6'3" wore these very tall & wide hats that made them about 6'9". Nobody could see the stage because of it so we watched the video screen. I normally get floor seats and enjoy the show but this was the last time. It will be regular seating from now on.
Yup that sounds right. There were a few people cheering every time they left to go get more beer or go to the washroom.bralph wrote: ↑October 29, 2018 11:21 amHa!
