Bought tickets yesterday to the Orlando show. Staying at the Mville Resort on friday then getting a cheap place on show day. Bucket list to see Jimmy in Florida! Anyone else going? This was an early Xmas present to myself and well also a divorce present too

My husband and I are going. We are driving from SC. Does anyone know the tailgate situation at this venue? We are going to the Vegas show in a few weeks and decided on this one last minute. This is our first Vegas show and first Florida show. It feels too good to be true.

I haven't been to Orlando since they built the new basketball arena. The old arena was surrounded by parking lots and it was a pretty good tailgate. The new arena is a bigger building and anyone who has been there can feel free to correct me but I think the parking is in parking garages instead of lots. I don't know how the tailgate is at the new place.

Here's what I know & "I don't know"!

The last time I was at Amway for JB was in 2017. I parked in the Gecko garage (Geico) which has a covered walkway going over one of the streets directly into the Arena. There were some tailgaters inside the garage.

At that time, there were 2 empty open lots across S. Division Street from the garage.
That is where the Central FL PHC club was set up. In the lot next to them was where I ran into Deb and some of the other BN peeps who had a tailgate area set up.

The part "I don't know" about is whether those open parking lots are still there. A lot of construction (I-4 Ultimate Road Project & otherwise) is going on in O'town.

I'm also driving in from SC and wondering about the tailgating situation. It will be my 100th show and my girlfriend's 50th birthday so hoping to make it a very memorable day.

Congrats on your 100th show. I looked on the Amway Center Website and I see the VIP parking lot is located off of Division Ave. I wonder if that is where the Central Fl parrothead club was tailgating in 2017. I watched a tailgate video from 2017 on YouTube and it looked like a pretty lively tailgate for an arena. I sure hope it will be.

This will be the only one of the three Florida shows I’ll be at.
I’ll drive down and make stops in NC, SC, and GA.
Need to break in the new Jeep.
Tickets (cheap seats) arrived on Friday.

Anyone have insight on the tailgating scene? If any?

Riding solo and hoping to join a "tailgate." I can bring my own brews and throw some cash for food!
