That is my concern as well. Someone stated in the other thread about there only being 8000 parking spots. At The World parking was never an issue and I always had plenty of room to spread out, now I am just curious if this will be an issue with Toyota Park.

The 8,000 figure on the parking is correct. I got that right from the Sales Director at Toyota as well.
I don't see how Harlem Av. is going to be able to handle this traffic...as well as the lots being able to handle this crowd!
I NEVER had a problem with Tinley, either.....there we knew the drill!

They expect lots of people to take public transportation. That's great for a game, but doesn't make sense for a concert.

Other items of interest from the website:

Tailgating
Tailgating is permitted as long as it conducted in a safe and respectable manner and activities comply with proper fan decorum. Please adhere to the following policies as it relates to tailgating:

No glass bottles
Dispose of charcoal in Hot Coals Only bins
No ball playing or Frisbee throwing
Please set your grills, coolers, etc. in front of or behind your vehicle
Tailgating set-up must not interfere with free flow of traffic
No kegs or bulk quantities of alcohol
Outside food and beverage is not permitted inside the stadium
One car = One space
Please bag and properly dispose of your trash
Outside caterers not permitted
Sale of food/beverage is not permitted
No open flames

Most of these are common sense safety items, but it doesn't sound like there will be any room for big tailgating setups.....

I did public transportation to Wrigley, and also one year in Oakland-very weird seeing all those parrotheads on the el or on Bart.

8000 spaces or not . . . I'm not gonna let that be my problem. Theres a Dunkin Donuts a 1/2 mile from the venue. I'll get a box of coffee and some donuts and wait it out. I look too forward to this.

Coming down East on Harlem from 55 the venue just kind of shows up out of nowhere on the southside of the street as you go over a bridge crossing alot of train tracks and I believe a canal. From 55 - Toyota Park there are your basic fast food establishments (Including a Portillo's) and the usual fair. Nothing spectacular. Bridgeview doesn't offer up much in the ways of anything.

My guess? Seating but I've been in the Gen Ad for Eric Claptons Guitar Fest and it gets crowded but comfortable.

I suspect a line coming off the highway at some point . . . They're going to be so glad they did this show there at Toyota Park . . . HA!

I would Guess Thursday will be a bit tamer and they may get out of Thursday without any real issue but Saturday will be a completely different animal.
