I just don't want to end up in the parking garage, although it would hold all the pot smoke inside

Since I don't know the area, I'll let the locals plan on the spot. We will be driving down, so we'll have room for tailgating stuff and look forward to being a part of the BN group.OneParticularPhinPhan wrote:OK TTG, and others...anywhere/any plans to meet and drive in together for parking?? I love the idea of a grassy bank by the river. Grass is so much better than an asphalt or gravel parking lot.

To the southeast of the arena there is a grassy area around a pond with a water fountain. you can park anywhere on there and it's by the river. either way you are in the grass by water

Hey, got four more from NC heading down for the concert. Looking forward to experiencing a new tailgating venue!

TTG- the grassy lake area is next to the river. hence water on all sides. Sorry I wasn't more clear. That is the spot I am planning on.

Re: 2/20/10 Jacksonville, FL--Jax Veteran's Memorial
Looks like I am going to be making it to the show. Me and the fiancé are planning on coming down. Still trying to decide whether to fly down from Birmingham or drive down. Is anyone staying at the Hilton Garden Inn? I have been to one other concert at this venue. It was back in 07 but best of my memory it was a very nice venue and the area around it was really
nice. Look forward to meeting everyone.

We are booked into the Hilton Garden Inn. Probably going to arrive late Friday night. Still need to find 4 tickets, but I'm sure things will break as we get closer to the concert.hoover wrote:Looks like I am going to be making it to the show. Re: 2/20/10 Jacksonville, FL--Jax Veteran's Memorial
Hello everyone. I'm new to the site but glad I found it! I have been a Parrothead since a dearly departed friend of mine turned me onto Buffett when I was in high school (circa 1991). I have been to 5 concerts in Atlanta back in the 90s but then kids, responsibility, and work forced me to grow up a bit. The closest thing I have come to Margaritaville since 1997 has been jamming to Jimmy in the car or sipping on Petron at the house and blasting the MP3 player.
That all changes in three weeks and I cannot wait! I live near Jax but have never tailgated down there so the plan is...NO PLAN NEEDED! I'm just going to head down and rely on the graciousness of my fellow Parrotheads to point me in the right direction! Oh and I'll be praying I don't end up in jail, of course

Heard of a Phlocking Friday at Deep Blue Night Club at Jax Landing. Make contact thru the PHINS group. Not sure how open they are/will be to those not members, but never hurts to ask. Goto: http://www.phinsjax.org
Also heard the group has a parking area with DJ, Band and Food near the baseball grounds. Cost for each event is $15.00 per person.

jax beach is always the place to go.
Are we going to set up a tailgate?!
I will try and post a picture of where, me, alaskacarolinagirl, my sister and her friend will be tailgating. I will make an offical list if no one else wants to. I am thinking the grassy area around the pond that borders the river is "THE SPOT".

Isn't this show just nine or so days away?
