C'mon people! Let's get excited about this!!!!

Although, based on the fact there were still many lawn and pavilion seats available, maybe no one is going...except us!

Hi! Can anyone here tell me how to post on the ticket exchange? It seems to be closed? I have extra lawn tickets to the Pittsburgh show if anyone is interested. Face & fees. Located north of Pittsburgh.
Thanks!

Can anyone tell me if you are allowed to bring a pop up camper into the lot for tailgating? I know you can have RV's, we brought one about 6 yrs ago, and I see all the buses, so what would be the problem? We are going to be pulling it with a Durango(sp?) and wanted to have a great place to chill. I know it will cost more to park but didn't want to get all the up there and not be allowed in the parking lot.

Star Lake Tailgate

Post by mistrhanky »

I live in the Northern Virginia area and have gone to JLL(Manassas) for quite a while, but after last years venue policy debacle, I really don't want to have anything to do with them any more until they can prove they have fully restored the old tailgating experience. So, I am thinking Star Lake(Pittsburgh) is my next best shot.

How is the tailgate environment there? Can you bring tents, grills, open but discreet containers, etc? We are all of age(more than of age to be accurate) and just want that awesome Buffett tailgate scene we have known and loved lo these many years. I have heard getting out afterward is a nightmare, but I can live with that if need be. I just wanted to get a current assessment of the venue since I know policies can change rapidly.

Also, how is the lawn seating? Decent lines of sight? If anyone has been to both places, can you compare the lawn experience between them? Do you feel like you are a million miles away? Really just trying to figure out if hauling all the way up there is worth the time and investment. Any help appreciated.

HI Nick,
about 30mins on a good day. It is a straight shot from the Hotel. The Pittsburgh Parrotheads are not staying at the same hotel, we will be down the street with John McDonald and the Mango Men. I do not have the details as of yet.

How is the tailgate environment there? EXCELLENTCan you bring tents, grills, open but discreet containers, etc? YES, YES, YESWe are all of age(more than of age to be accurate) and just want that awesome Buffett tailgate scene we have known and loved lo these many years. I have heard getting out afterward is a nightmare, but I can live with that if need be. It CAN be a nightmare, not always. Just sit back and wait.I just wanted to get a current assessment of the venue since I know policies can change rapidly.

Also, how is the lawn seating? It is not bad, there are screens, Yes you can see wellDecent lines of sight? If anyone has been to both places, can you compare the lawn experience between them? Lawn is a free for all. Seats, they sometimes get picky about what you have with you, you are never a million miles away. Unless you are at the back of the lawnDo you feel like you are a million miles away? Really just trying to figure out if hauling all the way up there is worth the time and investment. Any help appreciated. You need to talk to brznbeaches (Laurie)
