Lots of good stuff, but too 'busy' for us. Don't like being that 'organized' just to party. Great cause, tho. We'll bring our drinks and food and just enjoy visiting and such.Finsupinfla wrote:The Colorado Parrot Head Club has tailgate info on their facebook page!

I agree, its just good for me to see the time everything is going to get started. I might be doing some touristy stuff before heading over.

And this parking lot is a public parking lot for downtown workers, so it's opened early.

I see your thoughts of noon~ish for arrival Penny. Think that's the time some of my group (me) are planning to get there. I haven't heard back from everyone yet.
High of 65°....sounds nice, hopefully there won't be any wind. Two years ago it was the wind that $ucked....er, uh, blew
Just look for my Air Margaritaville banner.....Fantasy Flights Now Boarding....and my Texas state flag EZ-Up complete with Landshark and Margaritaville banner "walls".

If your revised plan still includes Loveland, be sure to visit Grimm Brothers Brewhouse. And let me know when.....I'll meet (not meat) you there.Finsupinfla wrote:The morning after the show, I was planning on driving up to Cheyenne, Wy then heading back down through Ft. Some weather guessers say 'breezy' but doesn't sound excessive. Oh well, it's not supposed to snow or rain, so I'm good.

No Cheyenne, but heading to Fort Collins and making my way back down to Boulder. Grimm Brothers and Big Beaver are on my list for Loveland.~Hippolyte~ wrote:If your revised plan still includes Loveland, be sure to visit Grimm Brothers Brewhouse. My current plan is for arrival sometime in the afternoon, hopefully between 1 and 2, but that depends on when my Aunt leaves (she is a RV snowbird on her way to Phoenix metro from WI and is passing thru Cheyenne).

Re: Denver, Oct 22, 2013....who's in??
I think my two buddies and I are going to get down there between 1pm and 2pm.
We may actually take the light rail from Golden (have waited forever for that to actually be something I could use).
I may re-watch the 20 minute video that I made from Jimmy's last visit here two years ago.
I may not get to be going to the concert itself, but it will be lots of fun to walk the earth and to get into adventures with everyone once again! Look for me in the dreadlock wig and hawaiian gear.
If I see someone recognize me and yell out MILE HIGH PIRATE, I'll look your direction and come say hi!
(p.s. with sitter issues, my wife is being gracious enough to watch our son so that Daddy can go play at the tailgate Tuesday!)

Big Beaver is "fun"....but only because of the names of the beers. If you're into ciders (sour) there is a cider brewery that's in the same building with Beaver....but I'd skip it (if you're running low on time...suppose you'd like to form your own opinion on the brews).Finsupinfla wrote:No Cheyenne, but heading to Fort Collins and making my way back down to Boulder. Re: Denver, Oct 22, 2013....who's in??
Oh yeah, forgot to mention.......it's tomorrow!!!
lyrics for today:
Oscar Wilde died in bed
Several floors above my head
Living well beyond his means
In that crazy Paris scene
Rain falls down in sheets so clear
And no one ever calls me hear
Travelin' by myself these days
I'm into jazz and felt berets
Far from that old Eastern shore
Searchin' for strange metaphors
I don't want to be another victim of fashion
No I don't want to see my name in the paper each day
Hey you can leave that to the young Turks
They're handsome and dashing
Posing for paparazzi's down laguna way
Now down in the metro I feel the world start to multiply
Bastille, rubber wheels, spiked heels
Subterranean lullaby
Met an African prancer, a hemisphere dancer
Spied the ghost of Brassens
We smiled at the secret we shared
And I hit it like contraband
Quietly making noise (quietly making noise)
Starts with kindergarten toys
Not too soft, not too loud
Just enough to draw a crowd
Quietly, quietly, quietly making noise
