Who's going to Tulsa Dec 5th?
Attention Parrotheads: Jimmy Buffett is headed to Tulsa.
The BOK Center announced Wednesday that the legendary king of relaxation would perform Dec. 5 at the venue. Tickets will go on sale Sept. 28. Further ticket details have not been announced.
Buffett’s songs have become the soundtrack for island getaways with songs like “Margaritaville,” “Changes in Latitude, Changes in Attitude,” and “Cheeseburger in Paradise.”
Buffett’s style combines some elements of country and folk music with themes of the ocean and beach escapes. Buffett has released 27 studio albums since 1970. His most recent album, “Songs From St. Somewhere,” was released in August and was his first studio album since 2009.
The Muscogee (Creek) Nation announced in March that it would expand the River Spirit Casino along the Arkansas River in Tulsa to include Buffett’s Margaritaville brand, including a 22-story hotel complex, new casino, restaurant, pool area and more.
At the time of the expansion announcement, Buffett said in a press release that he looked forward “to getting back to Tulsa and playing there again real soon.”

Woot! We will be there! Looking for a good tailgate spot. I think the Leaky Tiki should make an appearance from Texas!

McNellie's pub would be a great place to tailgate. It is downtown and has about 300 beers (give or take a few) in stock. It is hard to tell if it will be nice enough to tailgate outside at that time of the year. We are hoping to take the Harley down to the concert to make parking less stressful, but you never know if there will be snow in December here.

The chances of me going to the Hawaii concert are dwindling more and more every day.
If that falls through, I'm thinking seriously of trying to pull off a trip to Tulsa. DAMN seriously.

It would be really good if you can make it to Tulsa. Can promise it won't be anything like Frisco but we can still make the best of it.Wino you know wrote:The chances of me going to the Hawaii concert are dwindling more and more every day.

It might be 20 degrees and the hockey game on but we're going to a Jimmy Buffett Show!

It shouldn'tbe a problem. If I can make it happen I will.
And there's a good chance a certain other grumpy old man could be joining me.

That's okay. I've been known to put away a few pounds of prime rib or barbeque ribs. I'm very easy to please.
And if all else fails, I can just go to the Hooters on E. 61st Street.

Mrs. WLM and I will be there. Any suggestions on where to stay/park/pre-show party? I see a parking garage near the venue.

The "Grumpy Old Men" tour will NOT include a stop in Hawaii this year, but, rather, Oklahoma.

Tony and I will be there with two of our phriends. We got tickets in F6. Hoping the weather is nice enough to take the Harley down to the show. It is just a short hop across town for us.

I saw some great concerts when I lived in Tulsa, but always had to travel to see JB.
