I'll also be solo Kasey, at least for the first part of the day. I have some friends I'm meeting up with from the Cleveland area (we all went to the Blossom show last month) but they may not get there until early afternoon.

My name is on Captain's fabled food list, so I plan on getting there fairly early (around 6:30-7) and setting up shop in the Kellogg/Sutton West Lot. If you want my info, shoot me a message and I'll give you my cell.

I booked a cheap room last week ($50/night) at the Red Roof Inn Cincinnati East - Beechmont on Mount Carmel Tobasco Road. It's literally 10 minutes away on I-275.
Awesome! I will shoot you a message!

I will check out the Red Roof. Is the area where that Red Roof Inn is safe? I am a fairly small girl & young, so I am a prime target for crime. lol. I was told to beware of some parts of town but it's like that for every city. $50 a night would be great. I was looking to budget about $200 total for the two nights I am staying, & that would save me $100.

This may be a stupid question but I haven't tailgated in lots of a JB show in a few years because in Nashville, they don't allow tailgating. Instead they have a block party on Broadway that opens at 11 AM... so with that excuse said, do I need a parking pass for the Kellogg/Sutton lot? If so, where do I purchase one?
We've stayed at that Red Roof Inn a couple of times, but it's been about 5 years since the last time. It's just off the freeway, a couple of exits from the venue, and it's a safe area. Strip malls and restaurants, mostly. It was very inexpensive and we were pleasantly surprised how clean it was. Like I said, it's been a few years so things could have changed, but it was one of the nicer low-end places we've stayed.

Yeah, it's definitely not a 4-star hotel but it's got a decent bed and Wi-Fi and that's good enough for me. lol I look at it the same way as when I'm booking a hotel in Vegas: It's not like I'll be spending a lot of time in the room anyways...

I don't believe there are any parking passes you need or anything like that. Normal tailgating is SO much better than the block parties you'll find in Nashville and Vegas.

What time do they start running RVs off after the show?

unless they've changed things in the last year, Riverbend hasn't required (or sold) parking passes for the lots.

And a White Castle across the street that was open late!! (Like Chip said, that was 5 years ago, not sure if it's still there)

I may be traveling alone to this. I bought my ticket the second they went on sale & have 18th row.My friend who wants to go doesn't even have a ticket yet, & I do not want to give up my 18th row seat (or what I paid for it) to go keep her company. Not happening. I'd rather go solo, especially since she doesn't even listen to JB.

I don't have a hotel yet so if anyone has any suggestions, as I am coming in from Nashville. I used to work for Brooks & Dunn, & we would always keep the tour buses at a hotel across the border in KY, so I was thinking of doing that. I don't have to be really close to the venue... maybe 30-45 minutes unless there is closer available, so any suggestions would be awesome as I am going to try to book on Tuesday.

Since I will be solo, I'd love to meet new people. I saw Under40VictimOfFate is riding solo, so if you want to get in touch, feel free, just shoot me a message. I have been chatting a bit with RinglingRingling, so I feel like I am already making friends. :) I won't be bringing food, so I look forward to what Captain will have cooking. But I will be bringing plenty of alcohol & the grass skirt & shell bra.

If anyone is interested in meeting up or wouldn't mind having me come hang out at your tailgate location, shoot me a message & I will send you my personal information.

Also, I am coming in on Sunday & will be looking to meet up with any of you guys if y'all want to hit up any Parrothead events that may be going on that night or an easy going bar (not looking to get crazy so I am not hung over for tailgating). I have never actually stayed in Cinci before, only driven through or been on tour there.

I really look forward to meeting some of you! This will be the first Buffett show that is out of town that I have been to alone.

OK,I added you to the list.

WC lounge is still there. Just an FYI for those of you staying at exit 65 (Red Roof & Best Western) there is a lot of construction going on at these exits. Adding access lanes and curbs. Maybe a bike lane (those are very big in Cincy now) Lots of orange barrels and hot headed drivers. Drive with caution and be safe.

We finished the fin for the truck bed. I wanted to post a pic on here but the file was too big. Keep an eye out for an F250 with a Landshark fin pulling a travel trailer. We're going to line up early and get in one of the first lots. We'll have jello shots and other assorted goodies. Fins Up!

Nik, what part of Pittsburgh? Greentree here. I'll also be tailgating with the good Captain so it will be nice to see some fellow Yinzers in the Queen City.

We did not make Cincy last year, but 2 years ago security was having everyone load up and ready to move about an hour after the concert. We did not have an RV but the enclosed trailer, we could not cook hotdogs on the gas grill. They told us and the RV next to us shut it down and get in line.

Pretty sure I pulled up a 400 aisle seat last night too. Was just searching for singles though.
