Who's going to Great Woods August 15th 2015?

Everyone who is attending Jimmy's 8/15 show at GW should watch for reports from the venue today. The Vans Warped Tour is at GW today and last year's version of this show triggered a mass casualty event due to a large number of patrons drinking and getting dehydrated on a day very much like this one. It is a safe bet that the officials in Mansfield are watching today's event very closely as there as already been a mass casualty event at GW earlier this year.

Let's hope that no one gets hurt or sick today and that we can keep having our annual Buffett show at GW

It was in Hartford last night, i haven't heard of any issues there yet. I know they have had problems with a couple of the country shows , underage drinking and fights.

GW opened the parking lots at 8:30 this morning for The Vans Warped Tour and the show goes from 11am on in 80+ degree temps. Let's just say the right elements are in place for problems

Hey peeps! The keet (Mackenzie) and her two girlfriends are desperately searching for lawn tix....or anything with a lawn tix price for the show. If anyone can help find those or know of someone who no longer can go....they're poor grad school students, it would be much appreciated. If you spot a drop in tix prices on TM please let me know. Usually the price drop will occur about now.

So, for those who live in MA, I have an alcohol question. Can you buy beer and / or liquor in a grocery store (like Shaw's) or do you need to purchase it in a liquor (or beverage) store? Also, are there restrictions like you can't buy before a certain time of day?

Cork's is closing, not sure it will be open in August. Wines & More isn't too far away on School Street & they open at 9 on Saturdays. Dubs's (yes, that's how they spell it) opens at 8 on Saturday mornings & they have a very good selection of beers & spirits. They are on Chauncy Street (106) just down from the train station and not too far from Red Roof Inn.

I don't usually shop in Shaw's so I cannot tell you if they have liquor. I do know Stop & Shop doesn't and Roche Brothers, down the street from Xfinity in Norton, does.

Yeah, they sold their liquor license to a store opening elsewhere in town. Dubs's and Wines & More have lots of beers, ciders and other malt type drinks cold in the coolers. Sometimes they even have those premade drinks cold at Dubs's.
