So happy to see that Jimmy is back at Pine Knob. My all time favorite place for a Buffett concert.

Turns out there was a pre-sale..code was "heart" and when I went to access it nothing was left. I called PS&E and they went within minutes although the sale is supposed to run until 10PM tonight. Ridiculous.

Unreal no announcement for the presale. Looks like it was a twitter thing and they have never done that before. So........a lot of scalpers just bought up half the tickets before the official on sale.

What a joke! DTE has a partnership with a broker agency called
TicketMONSTer on the DTE website and that agency already has a MASSIVE amount of tickets for sale at DOUBLE the face value right now.
This is the crap that kept Jimmy from coming there in the 90's. He would only play every three years here because of shady crap and only played the one for three because its such a good music market.
I warned people that going back to DTE would not be all that their dreams would think of.
Edit: after some digging I'm pretty sure that presale info on ticketmaster is a mistake and was meant for disturbed. So no presale as far as i can tell unless someone was able to get I tk tickets today.
Doesn't change the fact though that they sold a ton to their own broker site already

Re: Who's going to Detroit? June 18th (Clarkston, MI)
There was a pre-sale. PS&E confirmed all 3 times that I called but I never had access to the ticket page. I sincerely believe this was an inside scam job.
Here's the link:

The password was HEARTS, same as another pre-sale and they even admitted it to me over the phone. However, they'd do nothing to help when I said I had the info listed on their site but there was no way to access the ticket buying page.

I am not even going to try for tickets. As much as I would LOVE to see him where I think he belongs, I am not going to pay a high price or deal with newbies who are there because they heard it is a great time. I stand firmly on my belief that you should have to pass a Buffett quiz instead of the stupid "I am not a robot" things in order to access the ticket site. Weed out the wannabes.
Good luck to those who are trying today.

Sure seems like a convienant way to cover their ass for selling the majority of tickets already to THEIR OWN BROKER SITE. The exact thing many artist said would happen if the scalping law was lifted......and want did the repub legislature do this year lifted the ban. UnrealFinnsaremorefun wrote:There was a pre-sale. I got the pre-sale notification for Goo Goo's, Paul Simon & the others but indeed no mention of Buffett.Finnsaremorefun wrote:There was a pre-sale. PS&E confirmed all 3 times that I called but I never had access to the ticket page. I sincerely believe this was an inside scam job.

Indeed this is a tough one to $wallow Melissa. To think of what that $165-$175 could go towards makes it such a tough call. Alas, the fact that the old body just doesn't do well on the hill anymore.....well the "lawn People" seats just won't cut it. If they could discount the back of the pavilion by $30-$40....that would be a nice touch.PetalMel wrote:I am not even going to try for tickets. Nonetheless, even as of 9:00 am I can't say for sure if I will pass or play come noon time. And as MSU has stated seats are never a given at PK. I used to have a connection at the venue if the public onsale failed me but with the sale of PK to Tom Gores.........bye bye connection.

Re: Who's going to Detroit? June 18th (Clarkston, MI)
I put my hat into the ring for Cincy. I got 700's then 800's then 900's then lawn.....
And finally about 20 minutes into it after nothing coming up, I clearly got a dump or decline So I've got backup seats in row E of sect 100 at Riverbend.
Now I just need the planets to align again at noon! For Pine Knob, we don't get greedy....we just want seats!

Good luck everyone! My friend got two lawns last night in the pre-sale. When I tried at 9:30 it would only bring up pavilion. Trying for 8 more lawn today...they are going to go fast!

I didn't know about this presale/ticket broker crap. I usually go for pavilion and am used to getting last row, this time I got lawn and was shocked. Used another computer to search again - sold out. That's the fastest I've ever seen. I can't believe people got completely shut out...

Cincinnati went on sale at 10:00 this morning and they still have tickets available. Indy went on sale weeks ago and still has tickets available too.

This is another reason I don't like PK!
That said, my group is still pulling up seats. I got RT row ZZ right at noon (4). But the app jammed up and I lost them. I went back and got Center Row XX. Not great, but I'll take them.
In contrast, at Comerica we were ALWAYS in the first 20 rows, CENTER. And once scored 2nd row! And for Riverfront park I got like row 15.

Dh just pulled lawn on his phone. We'd both been trying on the site since exactly noon.
