Three days until the big show.
Thought I would give an update so people know how I can be found as I would like to meet ALL of you that will be there.
I am planning to be at the Park and Ride. Look for my Canadian flag tied up to my open trunk (black Kia). I will have Bloody Caesars to share.
At the main tailgate, look for a blue EZ up with a Fin Land flag on one side and the Canadian flag on the other. I will have other signs and a Toronto Maple Reefer t-shirt hanging as well.
I will have to share:
Margaritas, Hurricanes, LandShark Lager, and Jell-O Shots.
Also will have beads and other surprises for the ladies.
See you there.

Seriously, isn't the tailgate my only chance at finding one?
What are my other options this late in the game?

That is posted on DTE's site about the Buffett concert. Their rules for this concert. They now have metal detectors this year and some other changes I've noticed while there. I sold my extra lawns to a fellow member here earlier today.OMiTT wrote:BananaWind1 wrote:Important info!!!

No, Ticketmaster has resale tickets that people have been dropping their price down on. I saw lawns the other day on there for under $60 including fees. Just have to keep checking. Also people drop their prices on Stubhub a lot. They will keep dropping closer and closer it gets to the concert. According to DTE, they will be checking to make sure people have a ticket, otherwise you won't be able to get in the lot. I'm not sure how to post a link so you can check yourself but I'm sure if you go to their site you'll find it.OMiTT wrote:Got one for me?BananaWind1 wrote:

They have said that before and never checked for tickets. If they do just say your friend has them and your meeting them in the lot. b**** enough and the minimum wage college kids will move on. Stupid ass way to slow down traffic.
The drinking laws are enforced if you don't have a red cup your in trouble. Keep it covered and your perfectly fine.

Besides this time, I've never heard of them saying you need a ticket to get in the lot. I go to 30 plus concerts a season there, I've never been asked to see my ticket unless we were trying to park in handicapped or VIP. Maybe this is just something they are doing for Buffett this year to keep parking spots available for actual ticket holders. Either way, I would just buy a ticket ahead of time to not chance it. Stubhub and people reselling on Ticketmaster will drop prices, happens every concert. You'll probably end up paying less than the ticket originally cost!

They can't possibly check every single car. A random check maybe or if you're being an ass when entering the lot....but c'mon now.msu#1 wrote:They have said that before and never checked for tickets. Possible recommendations: I'm kind of a concert stub nerd...so I keep many of my stubs. If you have a prior stub just take it & flash it real quick. Or you can play the "Will-Call" card. Look em straight in the eye & say I'm picking up my seat in Right Center, Row K, Seat 21. Nonetheless, Ultimately flying solo I can't imagine you're the kind they'll pick on.
I know its been a few years since PK hosted Jimmy but back then I never witnessed anyone getting hassled even if they didn't do the solo cup. I mean seriously, with complete tiki bars set up with loads of alcohol being doled out drinks.....c'mon.... Still, no sense in flaunting it I guess.

Yea, no one will bother you if it's in a cup. Even a McDonalds cup will suffice. There will be many with extra cups for you if you forget! I'll have some to hand out

I see lawn on Ticketmaster right now on resale for $51 comes to $59.66 with fees. Have to keep checking. They go up and down. And they're 51 including fees on stubhub right now!OMiTT wrote:Sooooo.............

You can upgrade your pavillions...I did
As for the ticket thing, they've always said, that....never true, LOL. But I'm sending screen shots of my tickets to my crew as we're going in several jeeps.
We'll have the sharkshot, the tiki bar and the surf shot. My peeps are looking to meet at noon thirty. Think P&R will have crashed open the lots by 1pm?

Well, the upgrade worked! A bit of a hassle at first. Had to go through a supervisor...but all's well that ends well!
But that lead me to a new concern regarding purchasing tix secondhand in the future. I still have my original tix which means I have a pair of "hard" tickets that look perfectly legit....yet have been voided by Big Brother in the computer world. What's to stop me from selling these to someone else? I guess ultimately they could be traced back to me because I am the original purchaser & ticketmaster has all my information from C.C. to address, etc. Still, seems scary now to even purchase "legit looking" tix on the secondary market or the venue parking lot. Even a phriend who may have purchased them from a friend of a phriend. Pretty surprised an exchange or upgrade is allowed without turning over the original tickets.
