y'all have a good rest of Labor Day. I've got to load the clubs and head out from my normal Monday tee time.
Talk at y'all in about 6 weeks for Vegas.

You aren't old when your hair turns grey,
You aren't old when it falls away,
But if your mind makes a promise that your body can't fill,
Then you know that you're over the hill
Mac and Jimmy stayed on stage today (Monday) to perform "City of New Orleans". They were seated on a bench that had a surfboard for the back. They did not go to the bleachers like last night. What was so stunning last night was that it was so dark that no one knew they were there until the spotlight came on. The effect would not have been the same in the daylight. Anyway it was great to hear the song played by just the two of them last night and then today with the whole band, including guest Billy Payne from Little Feat.
I do sort of wish he had reversed the final 2 encores, ending with City of New Orleans. We also did not have the shark out during Fins today, though it was definitely floating around last night.
I did hope for more changes in the set list, but I think he was pretty tied down with wanting to salute, Chicago, Steve Goodman, and New Orleans.
Last night he said that he now understood what Michael Jordan meant when he talked about being "in the zone" and today he said that he could not imagine anything that could top these last two days--he was clearly having a great time this weekend, as did all of us lucky enough to be there!
"I finally know what Michael Jordan was talking about when he said he was 'in the zone'"
Jimmy Buffett, 9/4/05, Wrigley Field
I think everyone pretty much covered everything you could not see.
The Star Spangled Banner was a recording of Jake, but I could not tell the
city. It was pretty cool to see him going for it on the uke - that would
have been great to see live.
During the still shots they showed during Cheeseburger, I swear I saw
opharbour.
Jimmy seemed to be as high as anyone about playing Wrigley field. The
weather, sound, show and day could not have been better!
