I saw these guys at the House of Blues last night.

When they did this song, they threw in a verse from Tom Petty's "Learning To Fly" near the end.

The song doesn't start until about the 5:00 mark, but it's worth watching the whole video.

We saw Al Stewart in concert last night... it brought back lots of memories of the 70s! He did the entire "Year of the Cat" album.

Forty one years ago:

Now (72 years old!):

He has such a way with lyrics....

On a morning from a Bogart movie
In a country where they turn back time
You go strolling through the crowd like Peter Lorre
Contemplating a crime

She comes out of the sun in a silk dress running
Like a watercolor in the rain
Don't bother asking for explanations
She'll just tell you that she came
In the year of the cat

She doesn't give you time for questions
As she locks up your arm in hers
And you follow till your sense of which direction
Completely disappears

By the blue tiled walls near the market stalls
There's a hidden door she leads you to
These days, she says, "I feel my life
Just like a river running through"
The year of the cat

Why she looks at you so coolly?
And her eyes shine like the moon in the sea
She comes in incense and patchouli
So you take her, to find what's waiting inside
The year of the cat

Well morning comes and you're still with her
And the bus and the tourists are gone
And you've thrown away your choice and lost your ticket
So you have to stay on

But the drumbeat strains of the night remain
In the rhythm of the new-born day
You know sometime you're bound to leave her
But for now you're going to stay
In the year of the cat
Year of the cat

Not to be judgmental, but if you're going to call a song Good Beers Left, maybe Bud Light shouldn't be featured so prominently. Unless he means Good Beers Left, as in all the good beers went away.

Another oldie but goodie... (both the song and the artist).
He's going to be 76 in a few weeks!

Feelin' Old.

Just came across some footage of a concert in Tamworth in 1996.

We recorded that gig for a live album 'Jubilee' by the Bushwackers. I was instrument tech and staging crew.

In a week or so that will be 22 years ago. I can't be that old old old.

Where did the last 22 years go?

As I was watching this, I couldn't help but think "They're pretty good, but where would these guys be without tech and staging??"

Seriously, thanx for sharing! :D
