I guess we have to settle for "Jimmy and the Parrots" at the Harrah's casino in Chester...not quite the same, but similar after a pitcher or two of Margaritta's.

I won't give up hope for a 2010 AC show quite yet..........

Not getting the Trump Marina site for a new M-ville is probably the nail in the coffin.....

You never know. A show in AC still could happen.
At least I'm still really hoping it happens.

Although if pulling the concert for one year and the revenues it brings in urges the bankruptcy courts to make Trump sell the Marina to Jimmy it might be worth it. Cause then we know for sure there would be a concert in AC every year then.

If that were true, it would be a reasonable sacrifice for 2010........

The Margaritaville Casino in AC is dead, there's no reason for him to play there anymore.

It's 120 miles from our house and we would gladly show up. Had a blast the last 2 years.My son's birthday is aug 23rd and he thinks the last 2 years were his personal parties with alot of people just showing up to sing and party with him. Come on JB don't disappoint the kid.

Next week the Trump bond holders take control of the three casinos. Under the bankrupcy finding, the judge gave the bond holders control with the understanding that Trump Marina Casino will be sold. The only offer they have is from Coastal. I talked some bartenders this weekend. They all think the sale will happen. Here's hoping!!

Will miss the AC concert this year. We had a great time the last 2 years and think AC is a great venue for a Buffett Convention!

Just talked to the bar tenders shop steward. He said the sale to Costal is going to go through. Coastals people have been here in the casino for the past 2 years. He said they know the ins and outs of the place. They're just waiting for the dust to settle with the bankruptcy. Keep your fingers crossed.

Well, we keep our faint glimmer of hope alive, right?

As I watch the expansion of Margaritaville stores, hotels, etc. I still believe that AC could be an attractive location to draw fans from Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, and even NYC (although Uncasville is an option for them). The issue for AC in particular remains the economy in general and the effects of surrounding states as they legalize gambling.

As a resident of south central PA my interest in AC remains two-fold: I'd love to see a Margaritaville facility as well as have JB schedule regular concerts there. The AC Conventional Hall is a beautiful place and being right on the Boardwalk is great.

Rumor is that part of Gov. Chris Christie's plan to revive AC includes trying to Coastal/Margaritaville to take over the Marina.....

Just a glimmer of hope remaining.........

Funny, I can't remember the last time that I've ever been pulling for the Governor of NJ.........or any Governor for that matter!
