Too early for Frisco Rumors?

Anyone else hearing the Texas Motor Speedway rumors? Seeing it on a few other boards.

Yes, I have heard that...but that rumor was floating around last year also...I still believe Frisco is the place based on my sources.

Do your sources have a good date yet? I sent a message to a Frisco Police Officer that is a Linkedin "friend" He has not heard anything yet. He has nailed the date the past two years before it was announced, thus my question about TMS....

Not an exact date...but I think May 30th is still the date at the top of the list.

According the schedule for Toyota Stadium in Frisco, (and already announced shows) I do believe the only available dates are 5/30 and 6/20. Considering he is in Houston on 5/28, the 5/30 date looks like a very good possibility. Of course this is assuming he plays a Sat. and in Frisco. It seems like every year Frisco puts more and more restrictions. A switch to TMS would crank the party up a notch!

I personally hope he does not do 5/30, my daughter has a dance recital that day. If that happens I will have to go on a road trip to Houston.

I contacted the Frisco Chamber of Commerce on Friday. They acted like they had heard nothing of a Buffett concert this year. Last year they told me several times that a date was being arranged but that they couldn't release it till it was finalized. Strange....

I honestly don't know what calendars are being looked at but Toyota Stadium has the weekend of 5/30 open

The MoneGram Nations Cup is 6/13-14....

BTW, last year the rumors were that overtures were being made by TMS to swoon the concert over to FTW to take advantage of the wide open infield for tailgating and larger concert venue. TMS is also event free for 5/30.

AND with the Houston concert already scheduled for 5/28, Jimmy's already in Texas and should just head north to Dallas/Frisco/TMS or even Carl's Corner as it just makes logistical sense!

Sorry folks, didn't drill down and read the thread to the last page so the info on TMS and Toyota Stadium availability is old news! Hoping 5/30 is the date for the Dallas area!

While it makes sense that he would come straight up from Houston, the fact it has not been announced makes me think it will be another date. You would think that since the Houston show is already on sale, then the tickets for a Frisco show would be not too far behind. We have not even heard a peep about it. No one seems to have any "inside info" this year.

Remember, just because he is in Houston does not mean he plays DFW next. Last year he played Houston 5/29 and came back to Texas and played Frisco 6/21. Well 6/20 is also an open date for Toyota Stadium.

Of course I am just trying to think positive, I cannot make a 5/30 show this year and I have not missed a show in DFW since The Hot Water Tour in 1988. So I am sending vibes to Jimmy to pick a different date!

You are correct that nothin's a given - 6/20 is as good a date for me as 5/30! May 4 2013 was too early and a cold tailgate! Just prefer to keep it out of the July and August heat!
