He is coming, there was VIP ticket package sold at the Mitch Albom charity auction in Dec. for show in 2017. Where and when, not known.

Anything new with the Riverfront venue? Have they done any revamping down there?

I'm thinking they gave up on the Riverfront now that Olympia entertainment is linked to Palace entertainment through Little Caesars Arena. Everything will be back at DTE

With brisk sales for the Wrigley show, I could see a Midwest run of shows going on-sale within the next 2 weeks. This is very possible..

7/15 Chicago
7/18 Indy (open date)
7/20 Det or Cindy (both open)
7/22 Det or Cincy (both open)

I received an e-mail from Riverbend (Cincy) today. They do not have a date, but they did confirm that Jimmy is playing there this year. That bodes well for Detroit and the rest of the usual stops.

Well, was* open.

Perhaps, Cincy on the 20th and Detroit on the 22nd could be logical.

I cannot remember the last time Buffett played on a Saturday in Cincy. It has not been too many times the last few years. (Sorry to hi jack this thread via my comment)
I was there when the term "Parrot Head" was coined in 1985 at the Timberwolf Amphitheater in Cincinnati, Ohio.

I was Buffett when Buffett wasn't cool.

Right..which is why 7/20 Cincy and 7/22 Detroit may be a possibility

So half of June and July are booked at DTE. Only dates left for Jimmy are June 17 (similar to last year), July 1, 8, 22. Assuming he is playing on a Sat.
Two of those dates work for the Thurs. / Sat. Toronto and then the "D" plan I would like. That is July 6 & 8, or July 20 & 22.
Don't keep us waiting too long.

Wonder if the new LCA is trying to get in play? Date wise it wouldn't fit Jimmy's summer schedule but maybe they're trying to make him an offer he can't refuse leading into hockey/basketball season! [smilie=noeyedear-shrugging.gif]

I think this stupid Wrigley show is holding up the entire midwest. They are probably trying to push sales there by trying to spur a panic that there are no other midwest shows. Then when they reach their magic number, you'll get the other dates. I've never understood the nostalgia of Wrigley. It's an eroding dump that is valued by Cubs faithful..but other than that?

I don't really think the Wrigley show has that impact. But, maybe I'm wrong. I get the Chicagoans enjoying their Wrigley....much like many of us fought the demise of Tiger Stadium. But the only thing I found different about sitting in the bleachers at Wrigley & being a Bleacher Creature back in the day at Tiger Stadium was that you were a good 40+ feet further from home plate at Tiger Stadium. But what a blast we had!!!
