July 3 works for me. He can't play T.O. that night, no venue available. Plus, he only plays Toronto every 6 years.

July 3 -- Jimmy in the "D"
July 6 -- Margaritaville Night @ Rogers Centre, Yankees vs. Blue Jays. And I got my ticket

That would be a great week!

I hope it's not the 3rd because I always run a half marathon on the 4th. But if it is on the 3rd, I won't be running a half marathon on the 4th lol

Ok mauitim,

It has been over a week since your post. Can you be a little more specific about a announcement or concert date? Give us a bigger carrot.

There will be a show in Detroit. Mitch Albom auctioned off a Jimmy Buffett concert experience in December last year.

Just looking to see when shows have been announced in the last few years. 2014 was on April 17. 2015 announced on April 10. Hope we don't have to wait that long.

Also I noticed that Sat. July 21 is still open at DTE that would be a perfect date, no show on the 21st, and Godsmack the next day. Buffett's guys have been doing this for so long they can break down quickly for the next event.

Any date but August 11 please. I have a ticket for a 4 day country music festival just north of me in Barrie Ontario called the Boots and Hearts Festival. the headliners for the three big nights are: Florida Georgia Line (Fri.), Alan Jackson (Sat.), and Thomas Rhett (Sun.).

So, may the tiki gods be good to me so I can see Jimmy in Detroit.

I still like the July 3rd possibility. That would make for a great July 4th weekend.

The shows Jimmy has done for the past few years were mid July and a few late June's mixed in. The 21st seems like it to me. He played my birthday the 20th a few years ago at Comerica.

They probably are still under a no announcement clause with Wrigley. They have to give big shows the chance to sell as many tickets as possible before putting shows on in competitive markets.

Plus I can see 313 paying extra for a Saturday to pump up how pine knob still sells out quick.......last year the lawn went but the pavilion never sold out till the day of.

What’s everyone’s thoughts of a NYE show in the D? Nashville had it last year.

Nye......?

Well I hate indoor Jimmy shows... really most any indoor shows but a few bands can do it. However Jimmy should never be indoors.

But....having said that....I don't do s*** on New year's anymore, so I would probably go to this.

Ill be mad at no pine knob though

Not sure about NYE, went to Jimmy's concerts at The Palace and it just wasn't the same.

Would much prefer a Pine Knob (DTE) summer show.

We won't do a NYE show. It's not the same indoor and in the snow. No thank you.

Red Wings typically do NYE home game. Unless he's doing Ford Field.....................may not happen.
