Is this confirmed to be broadcast live?
There was a News Announcement that said it would be recorded and aired at a later date.
It was a pleasure and a hell of an evening
Truly was our night to win
But the authorities insist on my leaving
Take care my American friend

You are right. It will not be broadcast live, It will be recorded for later rebroadcast.

Do I smell another "Live in Hawaii" disc brewing? Why else would it not be broadcast?

Maybe it's because in spite of all the work we do, it's the child in us we really value.

Because 8:00PM in Hawaii is 2:00AM on the east coast. It's a Thursday night, how many people, except maybe on the west coast, would be listening to it live?
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

I don't pretend to know the inner workings of RM or Sirius, but it could also have something to do with staffing in the wee hours of the morning. I would think that someone on the mainland would be assigned to monitor the feed and satellite upload for this type of thing...

You thought that out more than I did. That makes sense.

Since I probably won't be able tp post I was planning on trying to email the setlist from my phone assuming I can get service. Should it go to info@buffettnews.com?

This is the lame excuse Radio Marg is using. After all, only 9-5 er east coast people in the USA are listening.

"Okay, we know Jimmy's next stop on the Bama Breeze tour is Hawaii, but we figured the 2:00 am eastern start time would leave too many listeners out of the loop"

This is pre World Wide Web thinking. I say F the out of the loop people and let them wait for a replay. I get off work midnight, I can listen to the live show. So can the men and women overseas, in Hawaii, even the west coast, truck drivers, police officers and anyone else who is keeping things going. I really really really hate the 9-5 closed minded one way street people.

As much as the east is over populated, it is not the center of the planet.

And not only that, many of us have recorders and can listen later in the day.

On the other hand, it'll be the same songs I heard all season anyway.

Miles was just saying... They're gonna get the tapes from this show... and "air it for us in the next couple of weeks".

Well I sure do hope so!

Man, double bummer! [smilie=cwl.gif] [smilie=cwl.gif]

Usually, as I feel sorry for myself for not being there, I can at least listen on RM and cheer up a little . . .
Tonight not only do I not get to be there, but "there" is Hawaii . . . . . and then to top it off, I don't get to even listen!

Hey moog, if it makes you feel any better, when I am there in January I will sing some Jimmy for ya.

My song of choice will be Dukes on Tuesday....I hope to be there for dinner that night.
