could we get it left up for.. say another 48 hours??RoadToTheFinalFour wrote:I'm working on posting updated brackets, but as I'm doing that, I have a question for the voters.
Right now, when a poll closes, I declare the winner, and lock the thread. Would you rather me leave it open so that you can discuss the results? Or should I just lock it up?
then lock it up?

So far I don't think there will be much reaction. All he has to do is quit playing WDWGDAS.ragtopW wrote:I wonder.. How Jimmy Will react when he sees the Results

But if he did that what will be the new BRB/Beer Run song?
On second thought, Jimmy, just keep on playing WDWGDAS!

Well the voting locks automatically after 48 hours, since I put the poll closes option on for 2 days. If you want, I can unlock the threads though.gingerbreadman wrote:I wonder if you can just lock the voting but not the thread?RoadToTheFinalFour wrote:I'm working on posting updated brackets, but as I'm doing that, I have a question for the voters.

My point would be when the team WINS, who are they going up against next? Best reason to keep the thread open, but voting locked.
In the case of Volcano vs PBC, Volcano won. But I think LMIP will beat Great Heart, and so it will be Volcano against LMIP. Will be fun to see those two SYKBH's duke it out.
Cheeseburger vs He Went To Paris will be interesting too!

By the way, this is very cool!RoadToTheFinalFour wrote:In honor of the NCAA basketball tournaments that are now upon us, I thought it would be kinda cool to do the same thing with Buffett songs.
I'm glad you thought of it, and took the time to put it together! It's easy for everyone to pop in and participate, and it's fun following along with the results! I can't wait to see how it turns out!
Kudos to ya!

As long as you can lock the voting, I'd "vote" for keeping the thread open. That's part of the fun -- seeing what everyone thinks and why!RoadToTheFinalFour wrote:I'm working on posting updated brackets, but as I'm doing that, I have a question for the voters.

You're doing a great job by the way -- keep up the good work

What TB says. Eventhough it says winner, there are no posts, so they stay at the bottom of the list of threads.Tiki Bar wrote:Locking the done ones makes it easier to identify the open ones...
Great job! Fun as it is. I see 13 WINNERS ARE DECLARED

I have an interesting idea, why don't you lock the post part of the thread, and only allow the poll during the voting (This way someone else can not directly affect the outcome of the voting, similar to what they do in primaries and other votes?) Then you can open the posts after the outcome is known so people can comment on it and even "gripe" about the results?
Just a thought....

I'll post today's games later. I'm actually quite busy right now.
