In 1995, my only sister, and best friend, passed away. She was only 38.
She had moved to Fernandina a few months after I did....we had always lived close to one another....She fell in love with the island as much as I did...and said it, not Charleston , would always remain "home" to her....and she loved this song.
When she died...we had a celebration of her life.....and all she loved.
This is the song that was played.....and also another friend of ours played it for us later, at the beach...when we took her ashes down there..
We flew in a bi plane...3 of us. The pilot, her widower, and me....
Another small plane flew ahead of us with a banner saying "We Love You, Fran"...
He did two flyovers first.....
and it was our turn and we were throwing her ashes out of the plane over her favorite spot on the beach.....
There was a group of our friends on the shore, and a minister doing a reading...
It had been raining earlier in the day....
As we put her out to Sea....the other pilot said they were in vortex, under the wing of the biplane, and just circled for a while before falling to sea...
A double rainbow came out....and I looked down at the water...and there were over 20 dolphins jumping in the spot right below us.....My daughter was 9 at the time, and she was right at the waters edge....She saw this and ran to the other people and said.....
"Y'all! Come Quick! The dolphins have come to greet Aunt Fran!"
It was amazing and so right.....
The Rainbows...and the Ocean...The dolphins....and Fran.
I miss you Frannie....
all the time.
and THAT is why that is my favorite song on the album...

Now, it's my favorite, too......

"Don't try to shake it, just nod your head
Breathe in, breathe out, move on"
A friend of mine gave me a copy of Jimmy Acoustic in East Hampton, this song was on there. It is my favorite song. It's just a nice tune, especially when it's Jimmy and the guitar
I thank the Lord for the people I have found

Doggone — there's at least TWO good ones on here, and the rest aren't bad either. It was hard for me to decide between "Great Filling Station Holdup" and "Peanut Butter Conspiracy"; finally ended up flipping a coin.
By the way, did Jimmy and his buddies ever pay the Mini-mart back?? At the prices he's getting these days, you know dambed well he could afford to by now!!

"I'd rather die while I'm living than live while I'm dead." "Some of it's magic, and some of it's tragic, but I've had a good life all the way."
"You can have the rest of everything I own...'Cause I have found me a home."
Now I know this Joe down in Mexico.
He went there to work on his tan.
For years he's been plugged into blenders and songs.
They call him the Twelve Volt Man
