Go ahead and slap me now, I don't like anything about this album.
Sorry that's just the way it is. Nothing on this album sounds good to me.

Re: Favorite song from "Hot Water"
So many good songs...But Prince of Tides is my favorite.
"The sun, red and enormous, began to sink into the western sky. And simultaneously the moon began to rise on the other side of the river with its own glorious shade of red, coming up out of the trees like a russet firebird. The sun and the moon seem to acknowledge each other and they moved in both apposition and concordance in a breath taking dance of light across the oaks and the palms. My father watched it and I thought he would cry again. He had returned to the sea, and his heart was a low country heart."

Now I know this Joe down in Mexico.
He went there to work on his tan.
For years he's been plugged into blenders and songs.
They call him the Twelve Volt Man

Jimmy's never been one to skirt the subject. That's what a liver is to me.
"He answered that nobody but himself and the Devil knew where it was, and the longest liver should take all." - as quoted by Edward "Blackbeard" Teach

Re: Favorite song from "Hot Water"
My vote went to "Prince Of Tides".
A year before this album came out, I returned to Key West. It was my first trip back since 1974. I was surprised and saddened by some of the changes, but especially seeing condo buildings now blocking part of the sunset. In 1974, watching the sunset was part of Key West life. How could anyone have allowed buildings that would block it?
The lyrics to "Prince Of Tides" summed up my feelings, but much better than I could have ever expressed.
"One night they put a price on the sunset
And that got the whole world shaking
They rose from the grave both the weak and the brave
’cause history was there for the makin’
And the winos surrounded the condos forming a frail human fence
And they shouted out loud to the roar of the crowd
"same old story, more dollars than sense"
