That would mean he and I need to perform (him) and attend (me) 25 concerts a decade, or 2.5 concerts a year.... guess we could for our 60s, maybe our 70s.... after that we'll have to taper off a bit ... maybe
I just hit #38 in Tampa and that has taken since 1994 or 13 years. Good gosh!!! 62 more to make 100. Nope, don't think it will happen, but maybe we can realistically shoot for 50. :)

3 a year would take 21 years and I'd be 80 years old. 8) :) :P Do ya think we could hope for that many more!?

Hey, I'd take 3 a year for the next 4 years to get my 12 more for a total of 50 and then anymore after that would be spectacular!! :) :)

Way to go Nancy!!!!!

Too bad you weren't sitting near me on Saturday. Jimmy through his flip flop to a chick with a sign that read, "36th show." Did you hear him say, "That's what you get when you go to 36 shows...the flip flop!"

Thanks for the BEST WISHES on that, MM! I'll never get first row, but I've had my exciting moments!!

Out of those 38 shows, the closest was 6th row. I was also first row of balcony at Jerry Jeff BDB, which was a great spot and dang fine with me.

Keep on keepin on!

The last 2 years I have done Vegas and Chicago.

I will say if he does a midwest week like he did in '07 I will pass on Vegas and make a week of Jimmy shows with nothing more than a 5 hour drive betwen them.

That week long swing will probably cost less than a Vegas weekend for Jimmy oddly enough.
The Parrot Dice Lounge kinda like a mirage. Here today and gone tomorrow. You should stop by and say hello when visiting Chicago on tour.

This year, 7. Down from the past. College tuition is killing my fun tickets!

But I also saw:
4 Mac McAnally shows
3 Jake Shimabukuro shows
2 Peter Mayer shows
1 "Uncle Jim" Mayer show

Not a bad year.... not bad at all.

14 Buffett shows + 1 benefit concert where he was one of 5 performers

I only saw Mac once and I haven't seen any of the other Reefers but other than Buffett I did see:
Jerry Jeff Walker
Asleep At The Wheel (twice)
The Allman Brothers
Slaid Cleaves/Guy Clark
Mary McBride/Koko Taylor
Last Of The Breed Tour (Ray Price, Merle Haggard & Willie Nelson)
Norah Jones (one of the best shows I saw this year)
Rodney Atkins/Little Big Town/Martina McBride
The Flatlanders (twice)
Big State Festival (lots of people)
Experience Hendrix (a bunch of guitarists doing Hendrix music)
Bruce Springsteen
The Police
Sonny Landreth

I might be missing some, I'm old and don't have a very good memory anymore.

It doesn't get much better than standing up front at Gruene Hall with Asleep At The Wheel. (or Bellamy Bros at Schroeder Hall.)

This just all fills in when ya can't make more Buffett shows!!

I've seen Shelby once, 3 years ago. She opened for Keb' Mo' and kicked a$$. Then Keb' came out and blew the crowd away. I think that guy can play anything that has strings on it.

I was very happy that I got to attend 3 Buffett concerts this year. Foxboro, MSG, and Vegas. Vegas was by far the best concert experience, I cannot wait til Vegas 2008!!!

This year I made it to 2. MSG 9/20 and Vegas 10/20. I can't wait for the 2008 dates so I can start my official countdown to Vegas!

We only did two this year (good thing we took the "And will you take her to at least three Buffett shows per year, so long as Jimmy shall tour" out of the wedding vows!), would have done 3 except my little sis was here from Japan and that was the weekend she was at our parents' house. I've been averaging probably 3, but did 7 or 8 in 2003, I think. My total's higher than my age, so it's all good!
